Hey guys welcome back to our Higurashi lineup! I remember how last year we sat there discussing what REALLY happened and how I sat there for an hour with Jim Breen’s dictionary trying to figure out WTF they were talking about! Well thankfully this time most of the discussion is related to what they talked about in season 1 so hopefully I didn’t miss anything as 95% of the episode was spent on…talking. Boy the fansubbers are gonna get a kick outta this one! So this week wasn’t so bad as far as fillers. I actually sat here with the manga in my hands to compare too. The real filler was the scenes between Team Gai fighting their clones. I believe in the manga they only got about 3 pages of any actual action. This is ok I guess since at least the anime team is giving them some screen time (although they clearly don’t give a damn about Ten Ten as she has been discreetly omitted from the new ending.) So speaking of endings, yes there is a new ending starting this week! It features a “manga” like story about Naruto and the gang in a Konoha Gakuen setting. My Doujinshi mind is tingling but anyway check out this little story. Continue Reading »

Alrighty so while I was totally WTFing at the whole “bug busters” concept my liking to this show was quickly revived the moment we had a school life scene and lots of blushing towards the end. I figured I’d give this one another episode before making a final decision whether I blog it or not, but so far I’m pretty interested. The character designs on the official site are absolutely drool worthy. (I should like use them to rework my art style or something.) I personally don’t get the deal with “dream eating” and “bug users” and I’m totally confused on wtf is going on since there’s not much dialogue (which I guess is great for you raw watchers who don’t understand Japanese). I hear it’ll be a short series so I’ll definitely make my decision about the blogging next week since my Thursdays are only filled with Naruto.
