Lovely Complex - 13
This week started out a bit disappointing when the first 5-6 minutes were spent on flashbacks of last week’s stuff where Risa threw her chocolates at Ootani. She found out this week that he has a huge bump on his head from it too. He felt bad I guess because he gave her a ticket to the UmiBouzu concert that weekend as an early White Day gift. Risa is super happy that she totally forgets how he broke her heart on Valentine’s Day. Nobu points out that while Risa & Ootani aren’t lovelove like she and her bf, they share their love through things LIKE UmiBouzu.
Nobu also suggests to Risa to imagine herself kissing Ootani. Nobu draws a picture but then starts giggling. Risa gets upset but when she herself imagines the scenario she realizes how “amusing” it is to picture herself trying to kiss Ootani who would be reaching up on his tippytoes. The following day Risa finds out that Ootani is out because he got a cold. Nobu tells Risa that this is the perfect chance to show her “femininity” and to go pay him a visit.
When Risa goes she gets more than a warm welcome by his mom and sister (and dog.) I coulda sworn in the manga they interrupted them multiple times while in the episode they sorta left them alone ?_? At one point Risa asks him “am I not attractive to you?” She moves her face really close and Ootani I guess suddenly gets a high fever that he passes out but in the process bumps his lips against hers (before falling face first into his birthday cake.) Risa blushes furiously and runs home just as his mom comes back with some tea. Unfortunately for Risa, the next day she gets his cold and he doesn’t remember a thing about the kiss.
Upcoming Attractions: Mighty Sensei finally enters the story.

I was under the impression that episode 14 would be the last, but introducing a new character in the last episode is kind of strange so now I’m not so sure anymore. Care to clue me in?

I was also under the impression this series is nearing its end. The show has been quite entertaining, and it would be bad if the end is a bit rushed or too hanging.
I think this series will at least run for 24-26 episodes. It has been announced that there will be a new ending theme. The song is called “BON BON” and is by Hey!Say!7 (new group). Yeah, so I do not think the series is ending any time soon.

Guys this show is not 13 episodes, and I don’t think I ever said it was ^^;
It’s like 26 or whatever and for all we know it could be longer but as far as I know the manga is still going so there’s no guarantee for a complete or accurate ending anyway.

Maity looks so much better in the anime than the live action. And the manga has about 12 volumes and running right? How can they possibly squeeze 12 volumes of manga into 20 somthing episodes? If they do that, I’ll be mighty pissed. (They did that for Furuba and I was so annoyed TT_TT)
No the manga is complete, so we should get a good ending. They can finish the whole thing in the time they have left. They might have to cut some side stories for other characters, but they should be fine.
It looks like (by the new opening) that they’ll be persuing the whole storyline with Mimi and the other kid with black hair, so yes this anime will definitely need at least 26 episodes to cover all of that if not more, which is good to know.
