The anime will never fully catch up the magna.That's why we had to sit through a YEAR+ worth of filler episodes.They slow down the pace intentionally during the regular season so that we CAN'T catch up to the manga,otherwise we'd have one of 2 scenarios: a.we go back to watching a year (or two) worth of fillers b.they take Naruto off the air for a year(or two) while they make new episodes.
