Hayate no Gotoku - 11

Published by Hinano at 11:28 am under Hayate no Gotoku

I liked the episode this week but I don’t really have any parodies to report. I totally missed all the bleeped out words and I know the grandpa and the pendant was in some other anime but I couldn’t pin point to which one. Also the part where Hayate extends his hand going “I’ll protect you is that ok?” to Nagi, was probably some other show parody. I guess unless I see something directly parodied like Inuyasha or whatnot, its hard for me to directly figure out what they’re trying to make a satire of.

Upcoming Attractions: I think it’s Christmas again? And for some reason Hayate wears a wedding dress o_o (probably another Nagi fantasy.)

    Haven’t seen this episode yet, but perhaps the pendant thing refers to Escaflowne? Hitomi gets a magical pendant from her grandmother. Of course, I could be totally off base ^^;

The Pendant… well, it’s a plot device, which should manifest itself in the next few eps, and the ‘in a dress’ thing is Klaus’ fault. He keeps imagining Hayate in perverted situations… which may explain why he dislikes Hayate? ;)

Yes, the pendent it’s a plot device (not that lasted long).

As for the weeding dress, its also from the manga (or should be but they do not give a damn about doing it properly anyway), its not even Klaus’ fault.

It IS his fault. He’s the one who declared Hayate wanted to be a BRIDE - not a first-rank Ichiryuu Butler, but a bride and a mother. And then suggested Hayate would make a great bride for Tama.

    He IS a pervert.

the anime preview gave me the impression that the one who imagined him in the dress was Nagi o_o

Well, Klaus said that Hayate’s ambition was to be a bride.. and Nagi, Sakuya, and Maria all got the image. Naturally, Maria and Nagi, having seen Hayate as a ‘girl’, thought it was a rather fetching one, as Hayate has a young girl’s face.

I really like Hayate no Gotoku for the detail of the background shots that are given, I’m sure many of you have noticed but in many of the frames shown if you pay attention to the background you will notice allot of references to other popular anime series.

Oh and I couldn’t find a way to contact you in your site so I’ll just ask here if you would like to become affiliates with me, just a simple link exchange.

I personally don’t understand how Nagi can still find Hayate attractive. If I ever caught my man being humped by a tiger, it would be so over… :P

But really, I think it’s so cute when Nagi blushes. At the end when Hayate extends his hand for hers was simply brilliant. So cute.

Either I’m not as skilled at spotting the parodies anymore, or maybe there aren’t that many going on. Either way I’m now more interested in character issues than the slapstick. Don’t get me wrong I love the humor of this show, but the Nagi/Hayate scenes are what are driving me at this moment.

I think the last parody I picked up from this show was a couple of episodes back (not counting the evil game episode) where a character had his bones extend to the outside of his body like the Orochimaru failed vessel on Naruto.

toki> if you mean a blogroll add then sure its no problem.

sabrina> im on the nagi/hayate bandwagon myself.and by vessel you mean Kimimaro? i think i thought of that too XD

ya thats what I meant lol, oh and sabrina did ya see in that episode with the daemon boss thingy there was a shot of the “tiger” and its it showed that its a man in a suit, though I think they just added this for fun I think in the series the tiger is meant to be a talking tiger but I think they showed it as a man in a suit to kind of go along with the fact that they are aware that the anime is a “show” as they often do.

@Hinano: That’s his name! Yes, Kimimaro! I tried so hard to think of his name but all I could hear in my head was “Pikachu with a K.” No I want to know who the hell “Kikachu” is…

@TokiDoki: I didn’t notice that, I’ll have to re-watch that episode. I was hoping after the third episode and the fight with (Kama or Tama, I forget) the tiger, that the tiger would show up more often. Just not in a sexual way :P

Hinano - Yes! That’s his name, Kimimiaro! I tried my best to recall it and all I could think of was “Pikachu with a K” but Kikachu didn’t sound right so I went for the description. If you haven’t noticed I’m not good with names :P Luckily you seem to know EVERYTHING :) And spell them properly on top of that.

TokiDoki - I must have missed that part. I’ll re-watch it later on, I can’t watch this show enough. And you’re blog is nice too. :)
