Well this week technically wasn’t a filler, the animation was god awful once again (not as bad as ep 4 though) and it’s hot as crap up here so I was barely able to keep my eyes open enough to grasp the point of it. It amazes me how much of a lack of effort can truly ruin a show. When I first started to watch anime it all seemed amazing to me no matter how shitty it was, but nowdays I see this half assed stuff and it makes me think like “Why bother putting out shit? If you won’t put effort into it why even animate it?” I dunno if they think their target audience of kiddies won’t see the difference, but when you adapt a Koge Donbo work, for ONCE can it look nice? I’ve yet to see her works be adapted into something that makes me go “WOW nice job anime studio people.”

So anyway this week’s episode gives some fanservice to shota loving yaoi fangirls with Michiru making out with Kazune. In case you haven’t followed the manga, Michiru comes from England and at a point was taken care of by Kazune’s grandpa. (Or was it uncle? I forget.) Kazune also explains to Karin that there are 2 Himeka’s and they have a weird life balance. If one is sick the other one is well, and one eventually has to die in order for the other one to survive. Karin suggests a way to be able to have both survive but Kazune says the Karasuma’s aren’t the type of people to make deals with and if something goes wrong BOTH Himekas could die.

Kazune is convinced that the Karasuma’s have it and he’s right. Actually they still don’t know that the “girl” is Kirika. Also is it me or did they totally turn Kirio into a blundering retard? I don’t remember him being this stupid in the manga so wth? Anyway Kazune fights against the two of them and tells Karin to take Himeka and run. Michiru in the meantime is watching from behind the bushes. He also has a ring similar to Karin and Kazune’s but Karin confirmed that it was not her ring.

So as usual Kazune managed to get the ring back and then that bird of his transformed into what looked like a female Kazune and fried the Karasumas. Karin didn’t do crap as usual or if she did it was probably some recycled animation that I mentally blocked from my head. After this Kazune passes out an Himeka cries some strangely animated tears which then makes Karin realize that Kazune is the guy Himeka likes…and also realize that she may like him too. Michiru saw all this as well. Later on Mion and Yuki visit Kazune who’s lying in his futon because he’s lost energy. Michiru comes over too and brings him some flowers. I assure you Michiru isn’t gay…maybe he’s bi.
