Proposal Daisakusen - 07

So I was pretty much yelling “NOOO! RUN KEN RUN!” in this episode too but it ended up being another hair ripping let down. Now I feel awful for both Ken AND Tada sensei. I like them both! It makes me so sad to see Tada sensei look all sad when stuff between him & Rei doesn’t work out but on the other hand our hero is Ken so he should get the girl. Arrgh! LOL well at least I might be happy with whatever ending that they choose. Also at the beginning of the episode they tell us that this was during the Winter Sonata boom so this tells me the episode took place in “2004″. They even had a Yon-sama parody XD.

So what’s going on is it’s summer. The gang has to clean up and put a video or something together? I’m not really sure why they were doing this. During the whole water balloon fight, Ken told Rei that if he hits the can she should go out with him. He hits it but she tells him that you ask someone to go out with you AFTER you’ve made a proper confession. Ken’s like wut? Ken also remembers that during them watching the fireworks, Rei went to get some from the lab and that’s when Tada-sensei confessed to her. Tada-sensei realizes that he likes Rei after looking at old photos of them multiple times.

Ken runs to the lab to stop the confession but not before telling Tsuru to go after Eri (which then ends up with them actually dating each other back in the present.) Ken thinks he’s stopped the confession (and caused a disappointed Tada-sensei) but that all changes when the gang decides to play “Ousama” game after the fireworks. Unlucky for Ken, Tada gets the ousama and says “The King likes Rei”. Everyone is confused (or drunk?) to comprehend and Ken is feeling screwed because despite his attempts, Tada-sensei still managed to confess before him.

When Ken comes back to the present he’s shocked that Eri & Tsuru are going out so he realizes he did make a difference…but not for himself. He tells the fairy man that he is giving up and he won’t be time traveling anymore. The fairy man says he understands and disappears. Ken’s friend however (the glasses guy wtf is his name?) tells him that he realized that Ken was doing time slipping because he knew all these facts before they happened. He also mentioned that “you never came back to the past after the confession. If I had known back then, I woulda helped you!” Ken stood shocked to find out that someone figured out he was time slipping.

Upcoming Attractions: Ken goes back to the past 1 more time, but it doesn’t seem like much is gonna come out of it :|

    Man, I had a huge sinking feeling in my stomach when Tada managed to confess. Poor Ken. He tries so hard, but really not hard enough!

    I’m hoping in the flash backs we will get to see how Eri and Tsuru get togheter. That will be nice.

    And the glasses friend is Mikio. It will be interesting to see how he helps. :)

    Yea Mikio! I always blank out on names because I blog this before going to bed ^^;

    Yoko, in the preview Rei was like “Sorry Ken I’ve decided to go out with Tada-sensei” and then we see him crying :(

    The preview on the website seems to suggest Rei says that early on in the next episode, so I guess something else is going to happen?

    On ep 7, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I thought Tada-san looked a bit more apprehensive (than usual :) when Rei was talking to him near the end?

    Nice job on the blog btw. I remember watching your Makoto Shinkai effort a long time back ^^

    i liked to watch ep7 but it seems already, discussed here,LOL

    now i know that EP7 is so sad for Ken(our Hero) but we did not know whats the ending or how they end this Drama.

    i thought there was a second chance for Ken… :(

    yeah,i can hear it.But in the end,Rei said “Atashi…Kenzou no koto suki…”.So i hope :D.Ah,next ep,mikio’ll help Ken.I’m waiting for it T___T and i hope that i can see a fairy again

    I believe in the preview Rei said “Kenzou no koto suki datta” which basically means I likED you. Past tense

Instead, Tsuru is the one who has the touching performance this time, and somehow I feel Eri was touched by his actions too. Also, Ken reveals too much about the future to Mikio…which would somehow lead to a scene in the next episode (read Ex-Fansubber ひとり言’s post for details)…and also may be the reason why the slideshow hasn’t ended, although the photo in this episode is supposedly the last, as announced by the host. And yah, Ken exclaims in the next episode that he doesn’t want to go back in time anymore. [...]
