Lovely Complex the Movie
SO I finally got a chance to watch the Rabucon movie except my file had these annoying Italian subtitles 
OH well I wasn’t paying attention to them anyway (although JP kept pointing out words like “grandiossa” or whatever the equivalent of dekaonna was.) Despite what some of you guys said in earlier Rabucon posts I made…I actually really enjoyed the movie. It actually made me like the show even more. Both the anime and the movie have its charms and I personally think that the casting for everyone was great especially Risa & Atsushi. Actually I think the only casting I didn’t REALLY like was for Nobu-chan. Suzuki and Chiharu were great!
A few things were different here and there and a few things were in the movie that the anime flew over. The movie started out already after Suzuki and Chiharu were going out rather than from the beginning when Risa & Atsushi were trying to get them. They also included Risa’s sister. Wait wut? Risa had a sister? I don’t remember this and on top of that, her sister was a shemale. That was a MAN. It’s not even a trap, there’s no way I can look at that…thing as a girl. Even her “boyfriend” looks more girly than “she” does. Yuck! lol.
They included Atsushi’s ex-girlfriend but in the movie it seemed as if she had a crush on him rather than just being around to tell him she’s sorry but she’s still going out with somebody. The Christmas scene also differed from the anime because they introduced Haruka at that scene while he wasn’t in the movie at all. The Risa confession scene was at a Natsumatsuri rather than on her “birthday” as they did in the anime. To be honest I read this manga over a year ago so I can’t recall which one’s the correct version at this point. They also included the scene of Risa & Atsushi riding that cart except it was driven by some Hard Gay wannabe.
The next chunk of the movie was the part where Maity-sensei comes to their school. This was mostly a WTF moment for me since I’m pretty sure Haruka was introduced before Maity was and since Haruka wasn’t in the movie at all it was pretty strange. My guess is the anime will go into it in the next few episodes but who knows with TOEI. As usual he was like the bishy all the girls wanted but didn’t he hug Risa in the manga and Atsushi saw it? I thought that’s why he challenged him to a basketball game. Maybe I’m havin’ a brain fart.
So while Atsushi lost the game, thanks to Risa’s cheering and her “I Love My Chibi” banner (XD) Atsushi managed to score a slam dunk. I love how they used the black guy to totally intimidate the short Japanese boy lol. So after the game Atsushi tells Risa he really needs her and gives her a short kiss which leaves her kinda speechless. I know something similar happened in the manga but if I recall it was on the school roof top after some sort of event and Risa & Atsushi were away from the rest. Well all in all I enjoyed the movie including the bit at the end where Risa sang a stupid song on TV for Atsushi XD. If you’re a rabucon fan I really do recommend this movie. Sure some acting wasn’t the best but it doesn’t make the movie any less enjoyable for me.

Gah I was going to watch this the other day but I found out I had the raw. So I’ll have to wait until there’s an english sub of it out.

I watched this last month and I loved the Live Action.
Her sister added some pretty random/funny comedic relief, but the whole manga is comedy anyway, so ehh?
I had some ehh moments with Nobuchan, but I still liked the anime. :]

After reading this I went to YouTube to see what it was like and ended up watching the whole thing, lol.
It was cute, although manga comedy translated into live action takes a bit of getting used to. The girl who played Risa was really good, she had great facial expressions that really helped the movie–even better than Alicia Silverstone in Clueless!:)

Oh, and new information has been released about Higurashi 2. It is going to be twenty-four episodes. The animation has improved A LOT.

Yea the biggest difference is their faces are a bit more oval and there’s more eye detail…and they look a bit less anorexic

I´ve just seen the movie 2 day .. and oh my god !
I LoOved it !!
I havn´t read the manga , but I have seen some of the Lovely complex anime episodes, and I LoOved them 2 !
My only problem is, that I live in Denmark, and here we don´t have any of those kinds of cartoons.. Buhu !
But anyway, just wanted 2 say, that i just LOVE that serie !

Finally watched this! Eh, not as good as the anime but still a lot of fun. No trap! (Risa’s man sis doesn’t count)
Also, that was some of the most unrealistic basketball I’ve ever seen. xD
