So although I skipped next week basically Atasushi figured out that Risa likes him. After this the air gets heavy around them and he’s ripping his hair out of his head while Risa is a nervous wreck. They typically try avoiding each other but eventually Atsushi tells her privately that he will think about it before giving her an answer. At this point the class field trip is coming up. Risa is begging Nobu to let her hang out with them because she wants to avoid Atsushi at all costs.

On the day of the class trip Risa & Atsushi oversleep so the sensei waits up for them and then takes them to the airport separately. While he’s buying tickets for them Atsushi asks if he’s really the one Risa likes. She yells at him to not ask such blatant questions and he says that he wanted to talk about this with her…but everytime she’d avoid him and run away. The atmosphere gets quiet and confuses the hell outta the sensei upon his return with the tickets.

When they arrive everyone’s all like “ooh the couple arrived! Were you together the whole time??” and Atsushi coldly says “no not really”. During the field trip Atsushi and Risa are walking around together and they get a call from Nobu & the rest to meet up at a certain place. While they wait, once again the atmosphere is thick. They don’t face each other or talk and Risa thinks about how if they were the typical all hanshin kyoujin, they’d be arguing or laughing with each other. They then see one of those carts that is pulled by a man and get the urge to ride it - despite everyone else thinking it’s too embarrassing.

When they finish the ride, Nobu goes “oh so you guys are going well!” and then Risa & Atsushi suddenly remember that they’re in a “bad mood” with each other. Atsushi says he needs to get a drink and walks off. Risa then runs after him saying to herself that she will tell him she takes her confession back and that she wants to go back to the way things were before. When she runs into him, he’s trying to reach some bear curry. When she gets him a can he says that he’s always known Risa as a “comedy partner” rather than a “girlfriend” and to suddenly be gf/bf is too weird for him. Risa is hurt but pretends she’s ok by saying that she came to tell him she wants to take her confession back anyway. She then says she’s gonna go catch up to Nobu and the rest but when she gets to Nobu, she starts babbling about bear curry with tears streaming down her face. A few moments later Atsushi shows up, but he stands behind a corner guilty that he made Risa cry.
