Hanayome to Papa - 06
So Narumi brough
Aiko home and with Seiji and her father’s help dumped her on the bed. Before leaving, Narumi told Aiko’s dad that he’s “suffocating” her from become mature. Having a curfew is ridiculous and that there are many business matters that can only be done at night. Her father is shocked and with that Narumi leaves. The next morning Aiko wakes up not remembering anything from the previous night and when she finds out that what happened she rushes to apologize to her boss. His only response is that she’s coming with him to a special project meeting.
In the meantime, Aiko’s dad calls her and tells her that from now on he’s gonna mind his own business and let her act as she pleases because she is “mature enough” to make her own decisions. Aiko is shocked and almost irritated that her father almost becomes ignorant by avoiding all sorts of personal conversations with her. His coworkers clap when they find out that he’s become more lenient (and also make fun of him.) Seiji in the meantime is not having such luck with his side of the family.
His mother secretly calls Aiko’s work phone and asks to meet her in person. She also asks Aiko not to tell Seiji about this. When she meets her, she tells Aiko that she and her husband have plans for Seiji to take over their clothing business and that they have no intention of having Aiko marry him. She also insults Aiko by saying that Kimonos won’t “suit” her. Aiko is crushed but keeps it a secret from Seiji. Seiji in the meantime says he’ll go talk to his mother because she’s in “Tokyo” and he will tell her about Aiko and try to convince her.
Things don’t go too well for Seiji because his mother tells him that she and his father want him back to take care of the business because his older brother wants to do more with his medical career. In the meantime, Narumi isn’t having luck convincing an enemy of his father’s to see his clothing designs. His father apparently is a famous designer in America but he’s a one man production so a lot of people hate him. Aiko goes home (with a new outfit) and runs into Seiji. He lies and says that his mother accepted their marriage. Aiko figures it out when he says “she thinks you’d look great in a kimono” and then tells him how she saw his mother earlier. She says this relationship isn’t gonna work out but Seiji yells that he doesn’t care what his parents think and as long as her father approves that’s good enough. Aiko disagrees and asks him to leave. After he does, her father gets back and sees her with tears in her eyes saying “we just broke up.”
Upcoming Attractions: Aiko tries to convince Seiji that family is important while Narumi takes her bowling ?_?

Frist Off! Thank you so much for working on some summaies for this great Drama! I’ve been looking everywhere for a summary as the files are so big to download and my connection is all wacky right now.
I always love spoiling myself silly with these posts! I wish the subs would come out faster, it’d be easier if I learnt Japanese but I’m thinking that it’d be too hard for me >
Hi! Thanks for the reviews, I am currently living in Japan for a high school year and absolutly love this series. Though I understand most of the story line, my Japanese is not yet god enough to understand everything. But your summaries help to clear up a few points. Thanks!
