Lovely Complex - 06

So those who said last week there was going to be tears you are correct! Although I expect there to be more tears next week. So the gang goes to the beach and Nobu promptly tells Risa that she has to get her act together and confess to Atsushi. She tells that to Chiharu and Suzuki as well so now everyone is “watching out” for her to create a “perfect confession moment”. I coulda sworn our lovely trap attended this event too but maybe my mind is foggy. So anyway eventually Risa cuts her foot and has to sit on the beach on her own but even after she tsunderely yells at Atsushi, he comes back to sit with her.

While they are talking, Risa says he’s such a nice guy, enough that she might fall in love with him. Atsushi says “don’t say disgusting things” and they get into an argument but unlike usual, Risa actually begins to cry. The gang all comes up yelling at him and he goes “oh so you like someone! who is it?” After this various events happen where Atsushi tries to get Risa to tell him who the guy she likes is, but despite giving him hints, Atsushi is as dumb as a brick. Risa even goes all out to try to put aside her annoyances with him and act more feminine but it only backfires.

Eventually it’s Risa’s birthday. I find it amazing how she forgot her own birthday ?_? Anyway both Nobu and Chiharu are celebrating with and they give her a bunny shaped thing that you put into your bathtub to have water come out of its mouth. She then gets a call from Atsushi who asks her to meet him at the train station for a “festival”. She comes dressed in her yukata and he gives her an UmiBouzu CD and a special limited edition pin. She’s really happy but before she can continue basking in joy he tells her to look into the sky and then fireworks start up. Risa is so happy she feels confident enough to confess to him…and so she does…leaving a speechless Atsushi standing next to her.

    Read some of the manga, a bit of a roller coaster ahead, but should be fun to see how they animate it. Has me cursing that I can’t read japanese, and don’t understand much of it.

    This was annoying in the manga because Atsushi is so dense. Ha, ha. It is funny, though. Risa even mentions it is someone on the basketball team, and he still does not get it. XD I wish more of the manga was translated. D: Blah.

    WOOOW. The whole Seiko thing didn’t happen in the manga, did it? LOL. I thought that it was a funny plot twist–definitely not something that I had anticipated at all! It ticks me off that no one releases the Japanese raws for this. And then retardly creepy shows like Romeo x Juliet are already being subbed. Lame sauce, I tell you. Thanks for the summaries–!!

    waa!! I wanna watch this ep but have to wait a zillion years before it gets subbed!! this just encourages me more to learn japanese!!! >.
