Naruto -Shippuuden- 233
So it was a bit 
disappointing that the first half of the episode was spent on discussion while the last 5 min or so is where the real action was. I guess the good stuff is actually next week and not this week. So when they met up with Itachi (or so you think it’s Itachi) there was of course time spent on discussion who he is. As usual Sakura’s all like “THIS IS THE BASTARD WHO HURT NARUTO AND SASUKE!” Whenever she mentions them both I get this weird “Team 7″ orgy thought, bleh! lol. Uhm so then the old granny is all like “so you’re the dude who killed his whole family”. What I found to be a real kick is how calm and composed Itachi is, and all polite and crap calling Kakashi “Kakashi-san”.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Team Gai is fighting Kisame and getting absolutely nowhere. I kinda felt bad for Lee when he got his wooden tonfas destroyed in like 1 hit. He looked so hurt, (in a “shit I still suck!” kind of way) poor guy. TenTen uhh…well Yukari-chan gave some odd sounding groans this week but TenTen is probably the least developed Naruto character. She’s like on the back burner of Kishimoto’s oven so other than her outfit and attack change, she’s still…that random girl in Team Gai. Neji…hmm well other than Neji’s manskirt and him not being a cold hearted bastard (too much), he seems pretty static for now. I hope we get to see more cool stuff animated next week, where they will fight their clones that Kisame made from his water bunshin or whatever.
Now this is my fav part. Kakashi once again jumps to attack and asks Sakura & Naruto to back him up, but despite 2.5 years of training, Naruto still can’t seem to properly dispell an illusion jutsu. :/ So yea that’s why when he turns around, there’s like 3 Itachi’s. I guess Itachi figured it would work (which it did) and he wouldn’t have to waste his energy using Tsukuyomi or whatever it’s called. I hope they show that creepy part where like heads start popping out of Naruto’s body lol. That scene sent chills down my spine in the manga. So yea I’m really pumped for next week.

Harsh, but so true. When are they gonna give the guy a break. eh?
I gave Naruto Shippuuden a chance until like episode 05 or 06, but until now..I just can’t get around to liking the whole Naruto thing. *watches my back for stalking narutards*
Action scene-wise, it is kick ass. But the endless talking and Naruto with his “I-still-suck-and-Sasuke-is-still-way-cooler-than-me”, *argh* it’s getting old.
I wish there was an episode where Naruto absolutely demolishes someone’s else’s butt for a change, and then they’d have to train to beat him.
*sigh* rant rant..
I swear Gai cracks me up…I don’t know if I should hate the guy for being so amnesiac or just appreciate his sincere elementariness. XD

Yer .. similar to jade .. I’m beginning to wonder why am I still watching Naruto Shippuuden. But I’m still confident that as the show proceed further, it will convince me that I need to be a narutard once more soon.
I do hear about a lot of people who want Naruto to absolutely demolish someone else’s butt. Usually Sasuke’s.
I thought people say they want Naruto to stick it into Sasuke’s butt more than demolish it?
I had forgotten how endearing the old woman was. I’m not really looking forward to the end of her arc as much now; if you catch my drift.
Naruto’s inability to dispel an illusion jutsu has bothered me since the chunin exam. The only thing more annoying than his lack of basic skills is still his lack of thinking before he acts. I think he’s supposed to be a little more craftier with his clones in coming arcs, and updating his biggest move of course, but not much else has changed except the outfit.
The flashback to the first big mission made them look soooooo small. I can’t believe I watched that bout 5 or 6 years ago.
My favorite thing about TenTen is her hair. She’s a cute character but absolutely nothing more. Maybe one day she’ll get filled out a little. If it wasn’t for the fillers she basically wouldn’t exist in the history of the show at all. I still like her design though. Except her ankles. There is a shot of her in this episode and her ankles were like super bony. Maybe Lee could use them to replace his destroyed weapons.
As for Gai; when he encountered the shark guy; he did so looking at the ground; knowing he was dealing with Itachi as well. So he may not have actually looked at him. Add that to his basic goofiness and hilarity ensues.

Yea I guess if it wasn’t for fillers TenTen wouldn’t have anything…well then again same can be said for Hinata. Cause other than her major arc with Neji during Chuunin exams, she’s pretty scarce.

And I agree with you about Ten-Ten she was pissing me off she hasn’t improved at all and she’s so boring.
I havnt seen Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Ino, or Choji in any of the shippuuden episodes can some one point some out to me?
