Lovely Complex - 05
It really frustrates me the lack 
of raws for this show. I’ve been watching Chinese subbed episodes for the last 3 weeks (not that I understand Chinese but you get my drift.) I really love the OP/ED the pace in general and overall it’s one of my favorites this season and it’s rather sad that crap show raws get posted immediately while I have to scramble to get this. I almost thought of dropping this show bloggage because of that but I decided if Chinese subs is what I gotta watch then so be it I guess. Anyway continuing from last week, Atsushi is now feeling all high and mighty because he was kissed by a “cute girl”.
Anyway Seiko is all over him and it’s irritating Risa to no end. The only thing that makes her feel better is that Atsushi is still wearing the sweat arm band Risa gave him, but he claims it has the “god of tallerness named Risa who sometimes poses as a human” watching over him lol. Risa is still upset that in her physical exam she found out she grew 2 cm. Anyway Seiko cheers for him at practice and lies to everyone that she is his girlfriend. When he hurts his finger she runs with him over to the nurse’s office.
Meanwhile, Risa overhears some guys talking about Seiko. What she hears though is a shock and as she runs towards the nurse’s office she’s faced with the truth…that Seiko is actually Seishiro…aka a trap. (Or as I’d like to call him a “transgendered individual“). Atsushi recalls being kissed by Seiko and passes out. The next day everyone makes fun of him and then later on Seiko comes crying to Risa saying that Atsuhi runs away from her (I’m referring to him as a her because its just easier for my brain) and that he thinks that she’s disgusting.
Atsushi shows up and says that he doesn’t think Seiko’s disgusting but he has no interest in “guys”. Seiko later tells Risa that she knows Risa likes Atsushi and she shouldn’t let her height get in the way…because being taller than him is not as bad as having a guy fall in love with him. Risa then decides to take Seiko’s example and be more honest with her feelings…to which she admits to herself that she really does like Atsushi. Seiko also tells Risa that from now on the two of them are rivals and that she will not give up on him and will win him over with her “phermones”.
Upcoming Attractions: Everyone tries to get Risa to confess to Atsushi at the beach!

Wow, never would have guessed she was a he, but something tells me something very heartbreaking will happen next episode

Never would have thought that Seiko was male.
Guess I should have expected non-cliche twists from a shoujo series.

Yes, you pretty much said it your in ep3 entry … so I was expecting it also.
Fansubs seem to have picked it up since I watched ep4 recently (knowing very well there was a trap), too bad raws seem to be hard to find.
The image of the girl that looks like a man is interesting ^^;

You can expect that from a shoujo anime but eh….I like it, more than some other crap airing this season
….i was shocked with the epic trap Seiko.
I even thought she was a bit too cute. -_-

I have read the manga and i was really surprised to see that seiko was a guy o_O.. anyway has episode 5 apeared? where can i download it from ????
..yeah…your right a lot of drama and crying is gonna come……i’m so hooked to this…manga is awesome too…

Go to saiya man raws. That is where I go. No one is subbing this either. I didn’t think that Osaka accent was that taboo for fansubbers.

actually several different groups have fansubbed it already. kiss-sub has up till episode 5 subbed. shinsen has ep. 1 subbed and a new group called bluestorm has ep 1-3 out. i’m watching kiss-sub’s version though.
I found this anime incredibly refreshing! And I only stumbled across it by accident when I was browsing through ShinsenSubs latest releases. I kinda got turned off by the fact that it was a shoujo, but I said “wth?!” and went on to dL it.
*gawd* I feel like I died and went to “romantic comedy” heaven. I’m afraid of showing to this to my friends for fear of bein called “gayy”! I was hooked from the moment the OP started playing. Plus wit it being in kansai-ban is so *cool* ! Do you think that might be what’s holding back fansubbers? I wish it got more support..
Anyways, I can’t wait for the next eps..my only problem is the fact that it’s so new and I’d have to wait for it week by week. !_!
btw, Hinano, are there other shows you’d recommend like this?! catch y’all laters!
A lot of shows I watch have a romantic/comedy aspect to them so if you’re not sure check out my previous blog entries. The only thing that comes to mind immediately is Kamisama Kazoku
