I find it funny how the majority of my search results lately are from this drama, yet its these posts that get the least amount of commentary. I wonder what that means (other than there’s a lot of closet jdrama watchers or they’re too shy to comment since this is mostly an anime blog.) So as we ended last week, Aiko’s dad saw Seiji kissing her and rushed towards them. However, once he got to them, he made a sharp turn and went into the house…followed by shutting himself in his room and clenching his fists in anger. Aiko recalled a time that this happened in middle school when her dad saw her walking home with a boy and the next day the boy stopped speaking…

Sometimes I wonder if this was actually a true story, that her dad would get arrested for trying to prevent “increase of Japan’s birth rate” lol. Anyway in the meantime at work, Seiji keeps telling Aiko he really wants to talk to her dad and work things out. But before they can make any arrangements, Aiko is taken by Narumi who tells her to go help setup maniquinns for a clothing line or something. When she gets there, the guy who’s in charge tells her he doesn’t wanna do it the way Narumi said to. Aiko doesn’t want to argue so she just quietly goes along with everything. All the girls in the office are shocked that she and not the other assistant lady was sent to do this job.

After work that day Seiji comes to Aiko’s house saying he really wanted to see her. He had no luck trying to get a hold of her dad at work so that’s why he came there. Unfortunately then he collapsed with a stomach ache and Aiko dragged him inside the house to get him some medicine. She couldn’t find any but before she could go out and buy some, her dad came home. Quickly she ran inside hiding Seiji all over the place and eventually stuffed him into the futon closet.

She manages to eventually carry him into her room and let him lie down on her bed. She goes to get him medicine or water but he asks her to stay with him because it makes him feel relaxed. She calls up the bartender lady and asks her to bring medicine instead. Just when she’s about to come outside to get it, outside her room is her dad and he gets angry and yells “WTF!?” The bartender lady hearing this, runs in and she and Aiko try to hold him back while he angry rages at Seiji who half conscious is begging for him to accept his and Aiko’s relationship. In the midst of all this, Seiji passes out and they call an ambulance to take him to the hospital.

The doctor says this is due to overwork and high stress but he should be fine. After a day in the hospital, Aiko’s dad goes to visit him and brings him some onigiri. Seiji is moved to tears saying that his family doesn’t care about him and it’s been ages since he’s had home made onigiri. Seiji also gives Aiko’s dad a schedule of their plans to go to an amusement park date. Her dad agrees to let them go…and of course ends up tagging along with them. While going to the ferris wheel, Aiko’s work calls her to immediately come and she rushes there leaving Seiji and her dad together on the ferris wheel.

When she gets to work Narumi fires the guy who was gonna set up the maniquinns saying he can’t trust him for not following his direction. Aiko appologizes saying it’s her fault and she shoulda been more careful. (I woulda kept my mouth shut lol) Narumi leaves and tells her to do it all herself. Later at a bar his assistant tells him that had she been the one to go everything woulda worked out fine, and he says “yea probably”. Aiko is upset and starts cleaning up the maniquinns and then Seiji shows up to help her. He even gives her a hug, the kind her dad gave her when she was little and in distress. At this time, her dad walks in but hides seeing them like that. He then angrily walks away and when they get home, there’s a note saying he’s gone off somewhere. (I couldn’t read it but she said that “he’s left!”)
