I really felt bad for Fujiki Naohito’s character in this episode but I also wanted to side with YamaP’s. My inner fangirl was having a battle with herself. So anyway Ken goes back into the past once more to find out why he was so upset with the teacher and how did he step into Rei’s life. As it turns out, for 2 weeks the school would have 2 student teachers teaching the class with the supervisor of the regular teacher. I guess this was part of their “examination” or maybe the “praccees” or whatever you call those things. The one teacher, who acted like a total dumbass (played by an actress that totally fits that role too) had all the guys drooling at her and called herself Cameron Diaz. She also taught them English words like “My voice is sexy” and “I have a nice body” lol.

During a point in class, the teacher got so into his math problem that the whole class got lost. The class had ended and he was still writing it. It was at a point where they were all standing at the back of the room waiting for him to allow them to leave. Eventually Rei stops him and starts erasing the board telling him that he’s lost the class completely and for 2 weeks he’s not made an impression beyond being only concentrating on spitting out math problems. When Rei asks Ken to help her clean the board, he bumps into the desk and sees a piece of paper fall which has the class chart on it along with face doodles and “quirks” the teacher has actually picked up on with the students.

Ken then remembers that when he showed the class this list, they all started to laugh and this is what got them all to like the teacher. He quickly crumpled up the paper and stuffed it in his pocket. After that none of the students still like the teacher and when Ken has a talk with him, he says “good luck I’m sure you’ll be a great teacher” but it’s obvious he’s feeling guilty about it. There’s also the drama where the class picks seats on their own and at first, Ken sits in the back, to Rei’s disappointment. Later on he lies and says that he can’t see so he switches with a guy and goes back to sitting in the front next to her.

During class one day, Ken writes a mini vote on like “do you think he was a good teacher” and places that copy of the class list doodles on the back. Everyone votes yes and gives the teacher signed boards and a huge bouquet of flowers. Rei is also the one to give the bouquet in an apology to her snappy comment before. They all say that he’ll be a good teacher and then on one of the boards they see Ken wrote “I won’t lose to you”. The sensei has no idea what he’s talking about and then obnoxiously says “there’s no way you can beat me..at whatever it is”. Oh also this episode lets us know that the reason Rei calls Ken “kenzo” is because back in elementary school she read his name wrong XD.

They then take the commemorative photo as usual…but this time it turns out different completely. The guys all make a tower with Ken on the bottom while the girls all link arms…and of course Rei links arms with the sensei. Ken is now back in the present angry that he was the “cupid” for their relationship…but the fairy man tells him that while no one else remembers it, Rei does although that doesn’t change the fact that Ken didn’t marry her.

Upcoming Attractions: Ken loses his 2nd button making Rei think he gave it to someone else for their graduation.
