Naruto the Movie 3: The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island
So I finally got a chance to see the 3rd Naruto movie, and just like with the previous 2 Naruto movies, the “theme” and “plot” of the story is generally the same. Our heroes meet some random people they have to protect for a mission, it turns out more than they bargained for, they get beaten, then they fight back and in the end everybody learns some sort of valuable lesson. Never the less I enjoyed the movie and seeing the Naruto gang wearing some summer outfits for once was a perk for me. As mentioned in my previous post, a lot of things in this movie gave hints to the Shippuuden series (such as attacks/similar oufits) so it’s great to look back on this and go “THANK GOD THE FILLERS ARE OVER.”
Anyway the gang is now on a mission to protect some sort of a rich prince, Michiru. Not only is it him though, he has a bratty shota son. The prince’s wife is living on a farm with her parents and she I guess is maybe his ex-wife who divorced him saying he doesn’t understand anything. He begs for her to come back to him offering her riches but she slaps him, calls him a fatass and cries saying she missed her son, Hikaru. Hikaru is another brat in itself. All he does is make snide remarks at Naruto (including calling him an idiot for wanting to be a Hokage) and often Kakashi has to often restrain Naruto from beating the kid up.
One day they go to see a circus. There, Hikaru gets impressed by the saber tooth tiger and monkey that do tricks. He manages to accurately shoot the apple the monkey holds and the circus offers him a “reward” for being so accurate. The kid demands the saber tooth tiger, and then Michiru uses his money and ends up buying the whole circus. They take the circus on board the ship with them, but on there they run into a sea storm and some animals start falling off board. Hikaru however really likes the saber tooth tiger despite the tiger being snappy at him. He angrily says the hell with the animals until Naruto yells at him for being a cruel ignorant ho. Hikaru then gets brave enough to save the tiger, who in turn saves him (with Naruto’s help of course) from falling into the sea.
Eventually they make it on to the island only to find out that Michiru’s friend has hurt his father, the king, to try to take over the island…because he wants to be a rich bastard. Hikaru with the help of Naruto and friends, along with some allies from the soldier army, escape into the cave where Michiru’s father, the king, lies unconscious. It turns out a Ninja put a stone curse on him that Sakura manages to cure…however only long enough for the old man to tell Michiru to live on and become King, where after the speech he dies.
Not too long after the battle breaks out between Naruto’s team and the 3 hired Ninjas, who look like K.I.S.S. rejects. Naruto gets his head first beaten into the sand (literally) followed by Rock Lee and Sakura. Even Kakashi has a hard time but before the Ninjas can get their victory, Naruto goes Kyuubi on them all and when the other soldiers seize Michiru, the Ninjas retreat. Hikaru is now left on his own, upset that he was unable to do anything. Also one of the allies got stoned/crumbled by one of the ninjas which adds to all the piling grief.
In the forest everyone asks Hikaru what they should do. Hikaru just sits there crying saying that his father is going to be killed and there’s nothing they can do. Even if Naruto’s team is strong, those Ninjas are even stronger. Just then, the sabertooth tiger & monkey show up along with the rest of the circus. The circus manager is unhappy that they were kicked out of the city into the forrest and that nobody wanted their services. Kakashi explains to them what happens and asks for their cooperation in order to get the “throne” back to Michiru.
The plan goes into action when the circus is used as a diversion at the castle right during the time of Michiru’s execution. (They were going to hang him.) In the meantime, Naruto, Sakura, Lee ands some ally soldiers sneak into the castle. Eventually the show ends when Kakashi uses his sharingan to summon a water beast and the circus animals and acrobats help as well. (They got like all these prehistoric animals in their circus lol.) It seems like all hope is lost when the ninjas start winning against the Naruto team, but Naruto yells at Hikaru to not give up. So Hikaru then jumps on his
steed saber tooth tiger and uses his sharp shooting skills to shoot and cut the rope from where his father is hanging.
Naruto quickly uses kage bunshin and creates padding for both Michiru and Hikaru when they fall on the ground. By this time, Lee, Sakura (and Naruto) have all beaten the Ninjas. (Actually my fav part was when Sakura called the ninja girl a brat and she got really pissed and was like “I’m not a brat I’m 22!!” Lee using nun chucks made me think of Bruce Lee too XDXDXD) Anyway just as we thought all the battle was won, one of the bad ninjas got pissed off and is apparently a sore loser. So he ran after Naruto and grabbed his foot and stoned it.
In a rage, the ninja also stoned the guy he was working for (lol there goes your pay!) aka Michiru’s “evil” friend. Naruto created his rasengan but due to his stoned foot was unable to walk. Just then Michiru decided to be brave and grabbed Naruto and started carrying him over to the ninja. The ninja then used powers to shoot thick stones into Michiru’s lard. Michiru started crying saying it hurts but then Hikaru ran up to him yelling for him not to give up, simultaneously as the sabertooth tiger and monkey started attacking the ninja guy too. Anyway eventually Hikaru ran and Naruto fried the guy to death.
After that people came to help out and Hikaru started saying in tears that he will never forget today. He will never forget his father’s bravery and how everybody teamed up and won together. Also “yakusoku/yubikiri” is a big theme in this movie as they often did that promising to “never forget” each other when the mission ends etc. In the end they show Rock Lee going “Gai sensei I did it” crying his manly tears of joy as usual. XD So yea basically that was the end of the movie. In the credits they show a few “afterwards” scenes and these 2 were my favorite (especially the 2nd one and by now you should know why):
I’m really looking forward to the Shippuuden movie, it looks to be awesome.

This was the best film of all. Am I or Sakura is more pretty in the film?
Note.:Baaad English Of Course..if you dont knwon what i say..weelll..Jodanse..
Sakura did look cute, I liked how they had her hair in 2 little braids at the end there
It was a good movie. You are dead on about the similar plots with all three movies. I actually preferred the first movie over all. That princess reminded me so much of the filler from the county of Tea I believe. I’m not sure but I think it was the same voice actress as well, not just the similar plot. But it was the most dramatic movie for me.
I enjoyed this one as well. The monkey was cute. That tiger was a little off looking. A grey tiger with spots? A regular one or even a white one would have been better.
Kiss rejects indeed.
I loved that their wigs got knocked off; makes me wonder what Jiraiya looks like without his. And Rock Lee is always fun.
Plus we all know exactly why you prefer the second “afterwards” shot: Friendship is truly a beautiful thing! Don’t ya think?
Glad you’re back even if you do have to taper off for this work stuff you seem to be interested in doing.
I was going through withdrawal the day you were gone.
Lol
Yea I’ve been plowing like 3 hours to New york City every week for job interviews. I had a 2nd one yesterday I really hope I get the job ;_;
