Kamichama Karin - 04 - When animation budgets go down the toilet
Alright so I watched 
Kamichama Karin on Saturday night and I was horrified at how awful the animation was. I haven’t seen animation this crappy since I watched Mamotte Lollipop that show with the moon princess and cabbage. This really angers me because I really like the manga and seeing the animation turn out this shitty is like a slap in the face. The opening animation and episode 1 were so nice, and suddenly it took like a 90 degree leap down into crap. It reminds me of that thread on the Naruto forums where people post badly animated Naruto scenes from the fillers. The amount of shitty animated scenes in this week’s Kamichama Karin can’t even begin to compare to that thread. I only took 1 screenshot but in order for you to get the full feel of how horrible the animation was, I took some more screenshots. That first pic is creepy.. Looks like some kind of alien that will spurt fangs and tentacles any moment and start ripping people’s limbs off.

The first shot actually isn’t poor animation. It’s actually her SDness copied right out of the manga.
As to where the budget went… They rerendered the OP. That’s where teh money went.
At least there is no cabbages :3
The first screen shot looks like this super deformed (not in a good way like one of those fake cheap rip-off toys that try to copy popular franchises.
I enjoyed the animation. In the fact that it was just that bad. The first one you posted was my favorite scene actually. Karin the bug! Fly away~
I compared the first image to one of those rattly-things from Mononoke-hime.
The first image I saw after the cut is purposely deformed for comedic effect (she’s pulling a Pinocchio), but yeah… after the brief increase in production quality at ep3, we’ve entered full Lost Universe syndrome.
… is it better or worse than Kissdum ep3? ^^;

Satelight, you’ve deceived us again. Is not enough that Kiss Dum Engage Planet has horrid (anti-)animation, but you have to take Kamichama Karin, a well-sponsored show, and produce “cabbage episodes”? Even Studio Crapomu Domu had the decency to revamp Yoakena’s animation on the DVDs. I hope Satelight will have some shred of decency too.
Whatever happened to Satelight’s good ol’ quality staff like Geneshaft, Arjuna or Macross ZERO key animators, heck, even emo-Noein had better animation than KK >_

Ummm that big nose in the 2nd picture is supposed to be that way right?
What a shame that the animation got this bad, the quality of the episodes before this one were really good.
I know that the 2nd pic its supposed to be an SD nose, but its just drawn SO badly, its like I’ve never seen badly drawn SD until this
Other characters aside, it seems poor Miyon-chan is getting the short end of the stick in the anime. She looked strange and alien in the third epiode and apparently does here too.
Agh… my eyes actually teared up.
Don’t let them ruin the series before it gets in the hands of evil dubbers >___

Just skimmed ep5 (don’t have time to watch it now, unless I skip class –;;) and it looks like things have improved… slightly. It’s still not anywhere near the first three eps though…
And to think I thought episode 2 was bad early on…

Miyon’s hair/eye color doesn’t seem to look right to me…I imagined her with like…light brown hair xD Ah, shucks. Yeah, the KCK anime so far disappoints me from the animation to Himeka’s voice…but hey, at least they tried.

In the manga I thought Miyon would have at least something close to Karin’s hair colour. The first time I saw her in ep 3 I was like OMG… who’s that?? :S
If you can find some colored manga art, her hair’s that seafoam green color. It’s brighter in the anime though.

I watched that episode on YouTube!(i’m vmkanimeangel)I just started watching this anime a couple of days ago and I can tell when I saw those pictures I started laughing!!!

Yeah, I agree that the animation isn’t very decent, but I decided to live with it and just watch the anime someone worked hard on.
i know i know,,, the drawing is idd very bad! but the storyline is good =P and the bad drawing make it funny so that’s why i watch it [a]
Ok, I dunno if it was because lately I’ve been on a crying crack, I was looking for the blogger who said the rhinoplasty thing on this episode, and I re-found it. And I couldn’t stop laughing, and my tummy ached. So thank you haha. I couldn’t believe the images, also.
omg kamichama karin is so good u should watch it be4 u think anything plus manga will always be better then the anime or a book better then a film coz there is more info about the anime/film acully this is true i read so many books and manga and the anime/film is never better then the book manga *thinks* oh well this anime acully is really good espacilay ep 10 its just so funny…well any wayz

It’s true. You shouldn’t hate the anime JUST because of some errors. Sure Satelight isn’t the BEST animator in the world, but they’re new and they started animating like…well, 6 years ago! I’m guessing you all want a remake version by Kyoani? We ALL know that’s not gonna happen! I’m very disappointed in you people! You all wanted a KCK anime, but how do you like it? You don’t! You ridicule it JUST because of some errors and changes! You should at least be happy an anime version exists! I truly know there are people who love the anime and don’t care about the changes and simple mess-ups (like me!). I’m sorry but I don’t like people who ridicule anime for reasons such as manga-anime changes and animation errors. Besides, I don’t really see anything wrong with Miyon’s scene at all.
the first picture was because she was telling a lie to kazune and portrayed as pinocchio, but i agree with u this is some horrible illistrations!
I have to say one thing:
ALL of every Nanoha series TV’s animation quality SuckS. And most of all the third series should have been called Nanoha SuckS. My poor nanoha.. what have they done to you…

tears are coming from my eyes for laughing too much…!!! even if the ones qho animated it were new thats a really bad joke just look at THAT!!! 
I waited for this serie to be animated but this is tomuch for my eyes!!! XD I can`t stop laughing!!!
