I’m starting to really get attached to the Engrish version of My Girl. I can’t wait for that single to be out XD! Basically it’s an awkard atmosphere between Seiji and Aiko because of him asking her to marry him the night before. At work as usual, all the girls treat Aiko like crap and make her do all the work while all they do is fawn over Seiji. Aiko’s dad is against it as usual and everybody at his work keeps teasing him about it. Aiko and Seiji though still want to convince him.

The two of them decide to confront her dad after their work day. Aiko calls him and tells him to meet them at that usual restaurant but he doesn’t show up. Eventually her “time to go home 7 pm curfew” rolls around and she gets a call….where her dad is threatening her that if she doesn’t get home in 2 minutes he’ll….with that in mind Aiko packs her bag and runs out the door screaming “I’m sorry!!” Poor Seiji is left alone and the bar lady just sighs.

The next day it turns out that Aiko made a mistake when she answered a phone call the day before. Now she has to deliver all the clothes for the photoshoot. Narumi has her go with him, instead of his usual assistant. At the photo shoot he tells them to start all over because, as he later tells Aiko, the photos don’t accurately show the “effort” of the designer. Aiko then tells him she kinda understands, because while her bag is crappy and cheap, it’s her mother’s and so she holds a special place for it in her heart.

When the assistant lady asks Narumi why he didn’t take her, he claims that he only took Aiko as a “baggage carrier”. I think he’s starting to fall for her…I mean considering how many times she screwed up and hasn’t been fired yet…I can see this being part of the plot. Sounds great to me! Anyway when Aiko and Seiji attempt to talk with her dad again, he thwards their plans by inviting his coworkers but eventually they have an argument and she says that her mother wouldn’t have wanted “this”. On the weekend, Seiji and Aiko go on a date but they end up visiting her mother’s grave.

After they come back, the dad is angry but when Aiko starts to argue with him, Seiji yells at her that he only likes her when she obeys her father, not argues with him. Everyone (including me) was shocked at this statement. Seiji then runs out, and Aiko runs after him. Her dad goes to that bar and grumbles to the lady about new rules. Anyway as they talk, Aiko says she’s glad that Seiji really cares for her and then she wonders what “proof” of them dating would be. He says there is one, and he tries to give her a kiss but they end up clanking teeth. God how awkward TO make matters worse….all of this was seen by her father coming back from the bar.

Upcoming Attractions: Aiko’s dad is so pissed he beats Seiji into the hospital
