Proposal Daisakusen - 01
So anyway I decided to
pick up another drama this season. It’s called “The great big proposal plan” and it stars YamaP from NEWS and also the girl whose name I forgot that was in the Romeo & Juliet special. (Wow what a lucky gal huh, doing all these dramas with Johnny’s Idols XD) So anyway the episode starts out with footage of a guy in suit trying to make his way to wedding, simultaneously as we see the bride get ready. He ends up running so fast that he’s almost the same speed as the marathon racer that’s running parallel to him. He finally makes it…only to be the microphone boy.
The drama theme this season appears to be “let’s rip off old American movies”. This seems like a mix of “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Back to the Future”. It seems like Ken’s (yes YamaP plays another guy named Ken) childhood friend/crush is now getting married. Unfortunately, he’s not the groom (who’s played by Fujiki Naohito) and deep down inside he’s full of regret. During the wedding reception, they show old photos from their child hood days. Ken sees many of himself and his childhood friend, and now the bride, Rei.
While getting drunk in the back, Ken continues staring at her. He gives a heartwarming speech about how great of a person she was but almost moves himself to tears. He keeps staring at a photo of him on the baseball team with her being the manager. He repeats to himself over and over that he wishes he could go back and change everything so he’d be the one to marry her. His prayers are answered when a fairy man (at least not a shota fairy) appears and tells him to strike a pose in order to go back to the time before the baseball photo to fix everything.
He goes back in time to the baseball game where he has to make the win or lose hit. He remembers the exact ways the ball is thrown and then manages to hit it. However while running, he remember that his team mate is gonna strike out….so he tries to make homerun but he doesn’t make it and gets out…making them lose the game. Because this surprises everyone, it actually does change the past and in the photo Rei is now smiling, rather than frowning like she was in the original photo. Ken is now back in the present time and the fairy man tells him that he can’t go back to redo the same “photo” but he can go back and redo “another one”. And so the big proposal plan begins!
Upcoming Attractions: Ken goes back in time to buy Rei some chocolate milk.

Hmm, sounds like an interesting premise… more like “Natsuiro no Sunadokei” than Back to the Future though. Seems like a decent first episode, I’ll be looking forward to your coverage of this. Cheers!

it seems more like buterfly effect to me ;P
The obvious way of abusing this power would be to take a photo of himself with a digicam right now. The next step? Buy a 1 TB hard drive, then make a billion copies of said photo. Of course, said photo would be at a very low resolution.
And there you have it, infinite save points. Didn’t even need a Gameshark.
Hahahaha I thought that he only goes back to photos with the girl in it lol XD
I just downloaded and watched this. YamaPi sure is good at doin weird poses (Like in Nobuta wo Produce). I wonder how many photos this plan is going to take him.

“Hallelujah… CHANCE!”
HI there, I’m a newcomer to jap dramas. I’m a fan of Masami Nagasawa and managed to get a glimpse of the TV series. May I know where I can watch or download the series with English subs.?
another great cast by girl “masami” and boy “unknown” (main cast in kurosagi) .. look forward to collect these too
I’m not a huge Yamapi fan but I just loved the first ep of this dorama. I suppose a lot of us aren’t strangers to regret. I hope the rest of the series is just as thought-provoking as this episode!
