Hayate no Gotoku - 03
So this week I
cracked up because of the random sailormoon parody. Actually everytime I see someone doing “____ kawatte oshiokiyo” I pee my pants. (i.e. excel saga.) Obviously in Nagi’s case it’s “in the place of money, I’ll punish you.” LOL XD Anyway after Hayate has a brawl with the talking tiger, the head butler says he doesn’t feel Hayate is good enough for the job. Btw that tiger is awesome “Don’t compare me with yourself you poor bum.”
Did anyone catch the end of evangelion parody here? Where Hayate got stabbed with spears of longinus? XD I know there was also some sort of parody at the end with the giant robot and Hayate flying towards him but it’s probably some old sentai show that I don’t really know about. So anyway Hayate ends up fighting the robot that butler guy placed in front of him (instead of having a cleaning battle). I’m pretty sure I missed a parody in here too with the forks and knives because it rang a bell somewhere in my mind. I hope they do a Kanon parody or something in this show, (like they did in Abenobashi XD!!)
Upcoming Attractions: I think that pink haired girl appears and Hayate likes her? I dunno haven’t read the manga.

Hey there Hinano,
That Sailormoon parody rocks, and to answer your question about the second picture in my entry, I think one of the animators fell asleep on duty.
Also I think the spears might be a parody of the episode in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya when Yuki Nagato gets massively impaed by like 3 poles by Asakura in the Euro-beat fight scene. Evangelion - Spears of Longinus work too!
Have a nice evening,
Cheers.
There’s a bunch of Kanon parodies in the latest chapters, right when Kyoto Animation’s Kanon was being aired.
You’ll have to wait a while, though, since these are chapters 120-123~, and volume 10 only covers up to 106 or thereabouts.
That pink-haired girl is Hinagiku, my absolute personal favorite character of the show.
“Likes her”? Heh. Just wait and see
Dark> Oh yea there’s that too but since Eva came first I figured that was probably the original for Haruhi since that had so many eva references
Eleu> Aww I wanted to see XD
Mentar> Wuh oh
I’ll say this much: Hinagiku started out as “Utena” parody. And then she grew into so much more. Extremely diverse character.
Absolutely adorable
Actually there are plenty of references to the “series of the day” that were in vogue when the particular chapter first was published. In fact the whole manga parodies many, many, many pop culture references unashamedly. Like how Mariel.. err.. Maria looks so like… nevermind…
I was -wondering- about the spears…. and yes, that’s Hinagiku, who appears about two volumes (manga-time) too early here. She’s as Tsundere as Nagi (with a bit more dere-dere most times, but REALLY tsun-tsun at others)… and she’s taller, older, and is more ‘normal’ than Nagi is.
Watch out for her.
Aww aha I kinda like Nagi but maybe I’m just biased towards the seiyuu
lol… @ SM antics
Hinano: Well, Hinagiku’s one of the few girls that Hayate seems to LIKE as well (besides Maria), but that’s due to her Nagi-like traits… and since he’s not a lolicon, he doesn’t see her or Isumi as a love interest.
For a change from your usual harem hero.
Also, I loved the DBZ riff at the end: “Battle scene that began in Episode 1″ indeed.
who’s voicing Maria? or is it her Belldandy’esque aura of calmness and goodwill (flowers incident excluded)that makes me remember AMG?
and the talking tiger is another SM spoof, Luna anyone?
That’s Tanaka Rie… which has been talked about many, many times before, using her Mariel voice.
As for more Evangelion parodies–don’t forget the title of this episode! It spoofs the title of Eva TV episode 26.
did anyone note the parte that hayate said “im not Freeza” in 14′min 30’sec. that part was so funny but i still dont know what means in the begining with tama the tiger… somebody can tell me what does he say in that part (6′min 00’sec)
