I’m not really sure what happened with the animation this week but Kazune’s eyes changed shape and size 3 times in less than 30 seconds. But other than the crappy animation the episode was pretty good but a few things felt off to me. First of all Shi-chan was supposed to come back from the dead but uh….he’s still dead ?_? What the heck? Anyway so Kirio (the glasses guy) tries to lie to Karin that if she gives him her ring then Shi-chan will be revived. She almost does but Kazune comes back and recovers it in time. He yells at her that if it’s that of an important item to her, she should not be giving it away like that.

Kazune then says he will speak with Karin and explain to her who she is. He tries telling her that she has godly powers but then they waste like most of the middle of the episode on goofy things like how Kazune is afraid of insects. Also how Himeka gets a note from a crow with a map on it, and she goes to it only to collect butterflies, scare Kazune and make him pass out. Just then Kirio shows up (in an idiotic way too) and starts shooting out random crap at them. Why he hits Himeka, really makes no sense considering how he needs Himeka. Weird.

Anyway with Kazune passed out from insectphobia, and Himeka useless as ever, Karin decides she wants to protect them and so her “godly powers” awaken. I coulda sworn she had to yell out “I AM GOD!” but maybe we’ll see that next week. What follows is an elaborate transformation scene, which I hope we aren’t gonna have to sit through every week turning this into some sort of KogeDonbo Sailor Moon. Anyway by then Kazune wakes up and helps Karin control her power and they defeat Kirio. Kazune then tells her that she will be living with him and Himeka and attending their middle school because he wants to watch over her since those guys are after her ring.

Upcoming Attractions: Kirio’s sister shows up and we find out more about the “other” Himeka.
