Alright so I watched Kamichama Karin on Saturday night and I was horrified at how awful the animation was. I haven’t seen animation this crappy since I watched Mamotte Lollipop that show with the moon princess and cabbage. This really angers me because I really like the manga and seeing the animation turn out this shitty is like a slap in the face. The opening animation and episode 1 were so nice, and suddenly it took like a 90 degree leap down into crap. It reminds me of that thread on the Naruto forums where people post badly animated Naruto scenes from the fillers. The amount of shitty animated scenes in this week’s Kamichama Karin can’t even begin to compare to that thread. I only took 1 screenshot but in order for you to get the full feel of how horrible the animation was, I took some more screenshots. Well I’m back. It seems like I was able to get on my mom’s wireless smoothly so it doesn’t seem like I’ll have trouble getting anime. The only thing is that because I have to go to NYC very often for interviews there might be days where I will just not blog a series because I won’t have time to get to it right away etc. Anyway this week’s Hayate parodies were great and I was able to recognize a few of them. The most obvious one was when they showed 2 character from Marchen Awakens Romance. I never actually seen that show beyond 1 ep but someone asked me to do a kiriban of these two not too long ago which is how I remembered them. I’m glad the characters didn’t turn out to be as annoying as expected and even the kimono girl’s “oro oro” thing made me laugh. XD (Is that like a Kenshin parody?) Continue Reading »

Well looks like it came true. I’m moving on Saturday and my internet get chopped Friday night. Although I have been downloading anime, I’m too busy packing up my apartment to be able to blog anything. (I really wanted to do the Genshiken OVA but at this rate I may not even get to watch it until this weekend ) Don’t know when I’ll be back, that all depends on my internet situation. Well see you ….on the flip side (or something that JP told me to write.)

Edit: So I got a reply back from her regarding a note this morning and this is basically what came out of it: She tells me not to model after Suzumiya Haruhi (lol) and she said she thought I was a “Japanese disguising myself as an American” hence why she verbally attacked me and she apologized for making that mistake. She also told me that my Japanese is excellent because she thought I “must have been aware” of what I was doing by purposely expressing myself rudely rather than making a light joke about DA’s porno policy. She said that if when I talked to people from 2ch and they never thought badly of my Japanese, that perhaps it’s because they’re very informal there (yea I knew that lol) but most people outside there use more polite language unless you are close friends with somebody etc. And lastly she said she does not hate foreigners, but it was my vocabulary that set bells in her head. I’m starting to really get attached to the Engrish version of My Girl. I can’t wait for that single to be out XD! Basically it’s an awkard atmosphere between Seiji and Aiko because of him asking her to marry him the night before. At work as usual, all the girls treat Aiko like crap and make her do all the work while all they do is fawn over Seiji. Aiko’s dad is against it as usual and everybody at his work keeps teasing him about it. Aiko and Seiji though still want to convince him. Continue Reading »

Well this woulda been a more enjoyable viewing experience had my file not been screwed up 20 times over (thanks firefox/Ie for freezing my Vista!) I really like the direction they’re taking this show. Rather than let Ken “fix” the problem, he has to find a different way to “change the past” and get a positive outcome. It almost feels like he’s playing an eroge and has to go back and try different choices in order to not get the bad end XD So anyway Ken goes back in time to the photo of everyone at some sort of restaurant to find out why Rei looked unhappy in it. I think I’m gonna now blog this show based on what parodies I can catch that week along with a quick summary rundown. Once again, I don’t read the manga, so I don’t know if it was in the manga, nor do I care to read it because people said the manga is better….and that will only take away from my anime viewing exerience (i.e. sumomomomomomo). While attempting to deliver Nagi’s lunch to her school, Hayate ends up meeting Hinagiku, which seems like a pink haired less loli (?) version of Nagi….who’s I guess main feature is that she’s the student council president. Unfortunately he never does end up delivering the lunch because of Hinagiku’s insane sister, but surprisingly Nagi completely understands. Continue Reading »
