I thought the helping hand scene didn't feel so corny because it was a good follow up to Koushi's realization that Momoko really felt her love was one sided. Looking forward to the next episode. I agreed with what you said about the last episode, they really didn't translate it well from the manga. The whole manga art was awesome at this part so thank good they did Iroha's part good. Too bad the anime comes off so much cornier. They make the "drama" look like fail in the anime overall, where it's win in the manga. Thank goodness this episode came out better than the last one.
