Mai did get a scene in the last few minutes of the episode, along with Sayuri. And wasn’t U1’s alarm clock recording ’supposed’ to be the trigger to snap Nayuki out of emo mode? I guess KyoAni wanted the viewers to remember that there was a sick(?) girl with a blanket in existence since Kaori did mention about Shiori.

It’s sad that Nayuki didn’t get any love for this season. On a lighter note, I guess KyoAni always enjoy drawing Miruku…I mean, Makoto, from the long screentime she has.

Yeah, that says something about how the writers felt about Makoto - no really ‘harem’ ending possible with her, so they went the ‘disappears from his life’ route instead. It’s a bit of a pity, really… although I’m not that much of a Makoto fanboy either. Mai sure got the shaft; after that incident, she’s vanished from the show.
