Naruto -Shippuuden- 224
Well this episode
was pretty good except by the end it left me sitting there going “That’s it?” and “You coulda spent 10 minutes on what you spent 2 episodes lawl.” Oh well I suppose that’s better than shoving in random NaruHina fillers any day. God if they shove a NaruHina filler I will…probably bitch about it endlessly on this blog :D. So anyway most of the episode was spent with Gaara fighting Deidara. The only downside is that most of the “visuals” just involved Deidara’s mouth-hand, sand flying everywhere and Gaara moving his arms like he was trying to do Para-Para.
They showed a bit of Kankuro but he was still wearing that stupid hood of his. He looks so much better without the dumb face paint and with his normal hair :D. Also the Sand Anbu finally realized something’s going on when they spotted Gaara above. Anyway back at the ranch, the bell test finally ended when Naruto almost spoiled the ending for Icha Icha Tactics in front of Kakashi. Good thinking Naruto, only took you 1 and a half episodes. Also they recycled Kakashi’s random Suiton and Katon jutsu’s to take up time. Umm yea that about covers this week’s episode.
Upcoming Attractions: Gaara dies! (I think. Maybe that’s the week after at the rate they’re going.)

Gaara, unfortunately takes a lot longer to die. At the rate they are going, I’d be surprised if they make it into the main fights of this arc before summer.
Eh. Gaara dies? Oh, noez.
You’re right Dave haha I spoke too soon. I bet next week half the time we’ll be seeing flashbacks
They won’t catch up to the manga in at least 2 years yet they made every episode half-fillerish.
Yep. I wonder if we’ll actually see one that truly follows the story
I’m most annoyed by the spit episode format. Maybe I got a little too used to the fillers focusing on individual storylines; but I’m sure I’ll get used to it, if this is what they have to do to prevent another 2 years of fillers.
i’d prefer it when several subplots/storylines are followed at the same time
Danny, I prefer that as well, but much much moreso for hour-slot (45 min) shows than short ones like, well, every anime. In 20 minutes it’s just really hard to follow two entirely independent stories and do them justice.
no gaara doesnt die
sum1 sacrifices themselves for him 2 live
