Busou Renkin - 21
I’ll honestly admit I actually
enjoyed this week’s episode. Maybe it’s because it lacked cock jokes and wasn’t fighting for 20 minutes. They show Hiwatari’s past and how him and Bravo were on a mission where everyone got destroyed and they were only able to save 1 girl. Coincidentally this girl looks like a younger version of Tokiko. Coincidence? I think not. Anyway Hiwatari blows his flamer attack on to Kazuki’s gang but Bravo sacrifices himself and throws his steel armor to protect them instead. After this Kazuki is shown crying inside Bravo’s coat with Tokiko.
For a moment there I really believed Bravo was dead O_O. But he isn’t. In fact the Dai-senshichou appears (he’s like the LEADER leader) and has Bravo in his hands. He calls ambulances to come pick up all the wounded senshi. (including the naked dude and the one that Gota tore to smitherines.) Somehow, they are all alive. The Daisenshichou breaks up the fight and tells them that the mission to destroy Kazuki has been suspended and they are now focusing on killing the other Victor dude.
He also beats the crap outta Hiwatari for being so hot headed. Before leaving, he tells Tokiko and Gota that they are in charge of Kazuki. Basically I guess they have to look over him to make sure he doesn’t go Victor style on anybody. In the meantime while everyone’s at the hospital, Hiwatari goes to the rooms where his team mates are and tells them to get well soon ASAP because they got a Victor’s butt to kick.
Another division of the Busou Renkin users went after Victor in their submarine and although were doing well they got their asses kicked as usual. Most likely the only one to defeat him will be Kazuki so I’m not even bothering to think that any future battles with Victor will end in success. In the meantime, Kazuki, Tokiko and Gota are headed towards that Catholic school to see if they can uncover any information regarding Kazuki’s kakugane.
Upcoming Attractions: Victor vs. the Senshi Part III.

tnx for the review and it sounds like a good episode so i will have to watch it later.
so far its mostly following the manga but there are some differences which i had hoped they would put in before kazuki rejoined with the other warriors like the scene in the original with small Tokiko and many other which are missing from the anime.
Does anyone else think some of the other good bits from the manga are missing ?
I haven’t read the manga so I can’t compare anything. So that girl really was the young Tokiko then?
I remember when I began blogging this show people said there’d be a lot of Tokiko x Kazuki stuff but so far I’ve barely seen any!
Thanks for the episode review and your usual comments Ha ha ha
Doing well?
The only attack they did at Victor was hitting him with 4 torpedoes that did nothing.
When I said doing well I clearly meant for the first 3 seconds
And then got their asses kicked.
BTW the leader name is Showusei, I like how he ends arguments by beating people up and laughting at the time.
haha yea me too that was funny
What’s up with Xebec and adding pointless original battles between the alchemic warriors VS Victor? Anyways, Tokiko x Kazuki stuff should be coming in Episode 23 based on the episode title.
BTW Kranmer, I’m actually glad at some of the changes from the manga. That whole Victor III arc dragged way too long in the manga and was probably the reason the manga got booted out from SJ in the first place anways. Naturally, changes must have been made. Though I must say I missed this:

You win some, you lose some =(.
NOO WHAT A GREAT SCENE!! T__T
If you get ahold of the final volume, there’s an omake where they talk about Tokiko’s facial scar.
…and it’s funny as hell.
Whaat tell me what happens XD!!
This is one of the few animes I still enjoy watching (along with Code Geass, Kiba, and Pumkin Scissors), so I hope it’s not ending too soon.
I gotta say though, I’m feeling sorry for Victor. Him against the world; all the guy wants to do is “breath”, and rid the world of those troublesome kakuganes. Poor misunderstood badass, my condolences.
Oh, and Butterfly-man makes the show look good; it takes confidence to wear that suit and strut around the way the does; a true man (I think). I loved the scene where he swaggered onto the beach (from a couple episodes ago).
In the MANkini?
hey hinano i have uploaded the omake (RAW) at the end of Busou Renkin onto rapidshare for you since you said above you havent read it.

and also in my first post when i said “small tokiko” i ment in the manga she actually gets shrunk in a battle and ends up around the same size as that small pink flying thing.
HAHAHAHa oh man thanks a lot!!
MANkini? Thanks for the laugh, but for some reason that sounds painful. I prefer the name speedo, or its natural derivatives (especially the three from the last): “Such garments are otherwise also referred to as competition briefs, swim briefs, posing briefs, banana hammocks, budgie smugglers, dick togs or racing briefs.” (From Wikipedia.)
YAY! THANK YOUSS!!
Very little romance. And one was abruptly stopped by kazuki’s sis.
