Naruto -Shippuuden- 221-222
Whoa wtf? 
Why did they show anime footage of chapter 307 instead of chapter 265 ??? Wow so that was a big shocker to me. So uh for those who have not read the manga and are like OMG SASUGAY! (Who by the way looks like Fabio in his new outfit.) Basically that hideout Naruto & sakura was in, was originally Orochimaru’s base. In fact there’s a whole lot important (and Narusaku XD) crap leading up to it. When they finally find Sasuke though he’s less than pleased to see them.
There’s a few flashbacks to the fight between Naruto & Sasuke and Naruto yells out “Why didn’t you kill me then?” Sasuke basically said that he didn’t want to be like his brother, and so Naruto was just saved “by chance.” And then he jumps down and grabs Naruto in a yaoi-fangirlgasmic kind of way and goes “And now I think I’ll kill you!” Of course they didn’t show what happened afterwards with the fight betwee Sasuke and the others.
In fact they jumped right into the scene where they showed inside of Naruto and how Sasuke was able to see the Kyuubi. I really think they shoulda showed the part where Yamato basically saves Naruto’s ass from being turned into sliced bologna. But other than that the scene was pretty accurate. I’m also very impressed at the quality of the animation. It looks like the real Naruto animation team is back so no more filler uglies.
So anyway inside the Kyuubi Sasuke basically has a little chat with it. The Kyuubi goes oh yea so you’re one of the Uchihas. Of course the moment he compares Sasuke to Itatchi, it his Sasuke’s little nerve and he blows the Kyuubi to smitherines. I never got that part, even in the manga because when we saw “outside”, Naruto’s eyes were all Kyuubi like so I’m not sure what went on in there.
Following this is the opening theme by a group I like called “nobodyknows+”. (One of their famous songs is Kokoro Odoru.) It’s pretty catchy and shows most of the characters in their time skip uniforms. What I don’t recall seeing is much of Akatsuki or Orochimaru or anyone else. Perhaps by the time they actually reach this arc properly, they’ll have to make a new opening. We still got a huge major Gaara arc to go through.
After the op/commercial it seems the show is back on the 4:3 aspect ratio rather than widescreen. And the first thing that we see is filler. WHRYYY! Why can’t you people just stick to the story line that you’ve made us wait for like 2 years!! Ahhh. Okay it’s a stupid filler about Konohamaru & his team mates doing the SAME mission Naruto did ages ago about catching that fat lady’s cat. It’s like total de ja vu of Naruto in his early days and how they get scolded by Iruka. Gahh whyyyyy!!
The fillerage continues but I found this to be kinda funny. Konohamaru’s group run into Sakura and then Sakura & them go to the gate guys who tell them something interesting has come back to town. Yes Naruto has finally returned. Really they wasted like 5 minutes on this. Then they show some sort of mini filler (which was actually a recent chapter cover) of Naruto little and Naruto big. Naruto little’s all like “WHOA THE FUTURE ME IS SO COOL!” and then the new Naruto’s all like “Whoa was I this stupid?” Then they give some kind of a keyword “Shi” which I think is for some kind of contest that is running throughout this special. *sigh*
I was really disappointed 
with the NaruSaku reunion scene. It was supposed to be like a surprise and stuff that Naruto gets to see her. 
But at least the whole “Did I become more feminine” part was kept in hehe. And of course Naruto replies with “DONT WORRY YOU HAVENT CHANGED A BIT!” LMao :D. <333 Narusaku!! I was disappointed at the lack of showing in Konohamaru's Oiroke no Jutsu. In the manga he had like HUGGGEEE boobs roflmao but they really covered it up in the anime. XD Wee Sakura blushing at Naruto~ I hope we get some NaruSaku converters here. 
By the way where was Tsunade damnit. She was supposed to be with them the whole time instead of them going up to her office. Anyway right before Kakashi shows up they have ANOTHER stupid filler this time comparing the grown up Sakura. They then showed a bunch of goofy training Sakura had to go through. I honestly don’t think she had to go through this kind of training in the manga. ^^; The last of that is the 2nd keyword (sigh) and hey for those Miko fans we get to see Sakura in a miko outfit. 2nd keyword is “ttsu” which would totally make a “しっ” at this point.
Ok next they for some reason showed Shikamaru & Temari who they were supposed to meet AFTER the bell test in town. WTf . Alrighty then. And to add to more of my WTF for some reason Naruto doesn’t remember who Temari is. He was supposed to be all like “Hey are you two on a date!” Gosh even my Naruto southpark/timeskip crossover is more accurate than this episode. 
Ok anyway after that finally Naruto runs into Kakashi, which was actually the 2nd person he was supposed to run into way before Sakura. LOL the scene of Kakashi opening the book had me rolling. 
Omg lame. So right when they’re about to have the bell test. What does Kakashi do? Acts like a filler and disappears to go read his porn. WTf? In other news, Paku Romi’s Temari is starting to sound SOOO much like Nana. I feel like I’m watching Nana again or something. Anyway after Naruto asks if they’re on a date, Shikamaru explains that he’s showing Temari around for the Chuunin exams. He also makes a point that Naruto is the only one still technically a genin. Even Sakura is a Chuunin now and Temari, Kankurou and Neji are all jounins. He also points out that Gaara is now Kazekage.
Next they show Gaara at his Kazekage meeting. They start discussing the Chuunin exams and say that there’s a rumor going around that Akatsuki has been hanging around the Sand village lately. Before we can get some REAL story going, we’re back to another mini filler this time with Jiraiya talking about his Icha Icha Tactics book and with Kakashi drooling and reading it. Anyway the next keyword is PU making me think the stupid keyword is probably “Shippuden” to begin with.
Anyway the Kazekage meeting continues in simultaneous with a conversation between Jiraiya and Kakashi. They say that they don’t know Akatsuki’s mission (I do so if you’d like to know just comment.) They just mention how Itachi and Kisame are in it as well as one of the guys who killed one of the Kazekage….Orochimaru. Jiraiya also mentions that they are after Naruto’s Kyuubi. The sand people talk about how they got news from Jiraiya and they have now setup their anbu troops to patrol the Sand village and be on the lookout for Akatsuki. After the meeting we see one of the guys has a headache but basically he is under Sasori’s jutsu..who we see walking through the desert with Sasori. Both are Akatsuki members.
Finally Kakashi shows up for the bell test but the scene of Sakura/Naruto being sad about Sasuke was soooo dramatic. And then they had to go and show that stupid scene of Sakura and Sasuke when he leaves. Blah. I really liked the “Zu~N” part though, that was in the manga and it was really funny ahaha. Oh come on guys get over the Michael Jackson fanboy already. And so begins the bell test. Kakashi even puts his book away and takes out his Sharingan saying “I have a feeling I might need it this time.”
At this point Deidara & Sasori have arrived in sand. Thanks to the guy they used he pretty much killed both squad leaders so the other Anbu guys have no idea what’s going on below. OH I forgot to mention the jutsu Yuura was under, was the same jutus Sasori once used on Kabuto…that Orochimaru managed to dispell. Anyway we get back to the bell test. But once again, it’s interrupted by ANOTHER chunk of filler where Tsunade & Shizune discuss the outcome of the bell test. Gahhh they really coulda made this a 30 min episode if it if it wasnt for all the fillerage E_E. Then they argue about who will win and who will bet on who. The last keyword is “u” making the whole word “Shippu”.
Wow okay so the episode ended there O_o. The ending song is “Shooting Star” by Home Made Kazoku. Hey I actually like this band too! Lmao all these random R&B/Rap bands are doing Naruto Op/eds :D. The ending animation is like a crappy animation of chibi Naruto & chibi Sasuke duking it out and Naruto getting left behind while all the girls swoon over Sasuke. Really could they just get over the NaruSasu thing? This anime isnt about NARUTO AND SASUKE. It’s about like NARUTO fighting AKATSUKI. That’s preeetty much the whole of season 2. I’m sure there will be another time where they duke it out but so far it’s just been Konoha vs Akatsuki so making this kind of intro and ending is kinda irritating. (Although NaruSasu fangirls would care to disagree.)
Upcoming Attractions: Finally the bell test. Not a 1 hour special so no dumb filler crap. Also appears Deidara finally makes his way into the Sand village.

How can they start off with a filler, after almost 100 episodes of filler. What the hell is Studio Pierrot doing? They really spit on their audience with this kind of attitude.
i remember someone once said ” watch them , i give them one month before we have another wave of fillers ! ” .
It was like half filler..I’ll forgive them because they probably just wanted to have a special comeback and so to fill an hour they needed..well filler. I’m hoping that this will be one of the last and we’ll actually see more action in the next few weeks.
Here I am, someone who hasn’t seen the series since 2004, thinking why not give it a second chance, and they toss yet another filler at you. Unbelievable. But seeing a blushing Sakura was nice :3
At least it was HALF filler…and somewhat followed the storyline

We’ve already seen too much filler! I’m positive that if they’d wanted too they could make the first half all about Naruto’s return and the second half the entire bell test, but NOOOOOOOO!
I think you meant Chapter 245, not Chapter 265. 265 of the manga is when they were already fighting the Asukati of the ‘Rescue Gaara’ arc.

lol, everyone’s so rigid…
I watched it and I thought they did a fine job mingling in filler with normal episode. In fact, I have a feeling they’ll be doing this from now on in order to keep pace with the manga. I don’t have a problem with filler material if it relates to the story at hand. I wouldn’t consider this filler, but more like bonus material.
The really “filler” part that bugged me was the stupid crap with the “keyword” in between. it really takes away from the “mood” of the story which starts to get serious later on. I mean if one minute I’m watchin Naruto go K4 and the next minute I’m seeing him acting like an idiot….it takes away a lot of things
just finished watching it gotta say i love the naru/saku interaction i can hardly wait for:
1. The scene in which sakura cries but naruto thinks that she is crying for gaara but in reality she is crying for him aaaaawwwwww T__T
2. the kabuto sakura conversation at the bridge
I’m looking forward to the scene after Naruto is turning back from K4 into human and YAmato’s all like “I can tell by lookin at you Sakura that…” XD
I don’t read the manga but after I saw the episode I looked at the chapters it covered and I have to say the anime is Better wiht the part he comes back. in the manga once naruto returns everybody just shows up. the anime made it more organized. just looked at chapter 245. it is all messed up. but wtf with the sasuke part? I didn’t watch it I just started watching with the opening song.

Forget Naruto, I just like all the Sasuke that’s around xD Maybe they’re gonna decide to make it about Naruto and Sasuke instead of Naruto and Akatsuki xDD All that business with revealing ’shippu’ was stupid, as well as that extra stuff in the end, but I liked the Konomaharu filler ^^
the fillers are a blessing really if they keep pushing on the episodes to the point of where the manga cant keep up again we will all have a filler nightmare its much better to have have 1 manga volume an the rest fillers each episode in my opinion just make sure the fillers work well with the manga tie in what pencil and paper cannot

WTF is with all the WTF’s i mean do you honestly expect the anime to go hand in hand with the manga. Dammit you need to learn that no matter what you will never find something that follows what it is based on completely. the only it will follow is the basic plot! SheesH!

hey yall i got a question, at the start of this episode, whats up with them showing Sasuke and Naruto when all they are gonna show is naruto fighting akatuski, is that also a filler?

put in a narrow context your complaints are valid, but remember who the audience is. they’re trying to sell ADS, not pander to fanboys, though they’re trying hard to please you guys. the “filler,” as you put it, is there to serve a purpose, to re-introduce characters to an audience who may not have watched naruto at all before (or haven’t watched naruto for a year and a half and forgot everything). thats the real reason why the sasuke thing was added, as well as the new footage of the fight with kakashi…to remind the *new* audience the purpose of training so they don’t wonder so much “who’s saskue again?” pretty standard TV… recall they did the exact same thing in ep 26, except that was tons more contrived.
yea, im off to the military in 2 weeks and im going to be missing the new episodes of naruto for about 3 months to 6 months and its going to suck but its always fun to catch up on episodes since it will be many to watch at a time :D, well ill be dropping by here to ask questions later ty for the answer Hinano.
It was good..Part 2 in anime but sometimes the fillers would just annoy me a little bit.But it’s for the animation and fluidity of the anime that I like even though it’s tough deciding whether the animation will get any better than it is now.Anyways Naruto,Sakura and the rest were good to see in the 2.5 year break including Sasuke.I can’t wait to see the Gaara fight with the Akatsuki members(hope theb animate it good though)
although i am a bit of a fangirl, it’s true that season two was about the akatsuki and naruto.
and i’m possibly like alot of people, just happy that the big fillers are gone.
um.. i don’t really care about the fillers cuz some of them were quite funny, esp the episode with shino laughing lol for me it’s ok to mix fillers AS LONG AS THEY GO ON WITH THE STORYLINE. i think the naruto animation team is doing their best to please their millions of fans, but, as they say, you can’t please everybody.

hi all! i don’t mind they put the filler again, becoz i want somethin fresh in anime. its like u seeing spideman movie, they need to make some adjustment to fit in the movie different than its original. as long the filler doesnt boring & keep relevan as ori story in the comic, is okay with me. however ii is funny like crazy so again is okay with me.

And kyuubi did not compare sasuke to itachi. he compared him to madara (who is mass powerful and connected with the kyuubi in MANY ways)

The ninja named Yuura was not really under a jutsu and neither was Kabuto. They both served Sasori loyally for years. The whole “jutsu” thing that they were apparently under was actually just a cover-up to make it seem that Yuura was innocent should the plan to kidnap Gaara and take Shukoku fail, so that he could still be a spy. As far as the whole “Orochimaru releasing the jutsu on Kabuto” thing that wasn’t rel either. Sasori new that Orochimaru was gonna bail on the Akatsuki, so he sent Kabuto to “attack” him and Orochimaru thought that Kabuto was under a jutsu, because he randomly just allowed himself to be attacked and junk and just heal and used another jutsu-I forget the name- so that he wouldn’t react to the pain. When Orochimaru saw this he fell right into the trap. After Sasuke took down Orochimaru with a cool Chidori-armor thing (the Chidori covers his body so that if you punch him your arm goes completely numb and useless, same with kicks, etc.) Kabuto had nobody else to work for since the combined efforts of Sakura and Ba-Chan (Sasori’s grandmother) killed Sasori. The Gaara fight against Deidara is awesome! He uses the sand of the desert to totally OWN deidara for most of the fight (i.e.: crushing Deidara’s right arm and making gigantic Shukoku arms rise up out of the desert sand. Anyway it’s awesome, check it out on YouTube by searching “Gaara/Akatsuki fight”.
I forgot to mention Yuura is actually… dun-dun-dun… Ba-Chan’s SON!!!! Muwa-ha-ha!!!
If you Naruto fans know about “Naruto Shippuuden” then i used to be inlove with Sasuke Uchiha but after i saw that episode, i don’t like him nomore. Sasuke is going to be gay in Naruto Shippuuden because Ouchimaru. Sad!
