Tokimeki Memorial ~Mina Gets Emo~ - 19

Published by Hinano at 6:11 pm under Tokimeki Memorial

To be honest I thought this episode was fulla crap. I mean I know Mina likes Riku and all but just because he hasn’t freaking responded to her emails every freaking second doesn’t mean she needs to go all crying and running to an aquarium creating scenes worse than Sasuke’s lamenting in Naruto. What is he, her boyfriend? Where does she get the idea that every guy is gonna cater to her needs when he isn’t even going out with her. えらそうムカツクんだこら! In other news wtf happened to Tsukasa? “Don’t say anything Riku.” “but I’ve ignored your feeling–*silenced with finger*”. Uhh okay? Then we never see her for the rest of the episode. And the small bit with Sayuri is the obvious giveaway that “Wow Riku actually gets jealous when he sees her talking with that other guy…and she seems to be all blushing around Riku now days HMM.” Yea I think it’s pretty obvious at this point. I’m just curious to see in what creative way they’re gonna kick the bucket for Mina & Tsukasa.

Upcoming Attractions: Sayuri confesses that she’s in love with Riku…that is during the preview. What the episode is actually about is beyond me.

The slowness of subs ruined this for me, and I’ve all but dropped the series since it’s not really that great in the first place. Waiting a month to watch each episode and then getting disappointed by the lack of development is like a slap in the face every time.

Yea I can see why you’d wanna drop this. I’m getting frustrated myself. They’re just prolonging the inevitable to fill in 26 episodes :|

since the “harem” has disbanded, the story development is not that great, and i agree with retsgip the subs just take too long to come out, also i don’t want to see mina chan cry T_T i m also dropping this and moving on to Lulu(CG) and his “Harem” XD

this is all your fault Hinano , you kept sending bad vibration to tsukasa :(
But on a more serious note , yea , this show is getting to long , it should have been 13 episodes , i mean , it was obvious ever since episode 1 that Sayuri was going to be chosen , so why 26 episodes ? Unless they pull a Ichigo 100%/ Shuffle at the last minute .

I watched the first few episodes of this series and then resolved to just read your blog for coverage.^_^ I’m pretty much going to watch the episode where Sayuri makes out with what’s-his-name and that’s it. Ah, I’ve been reading for 17 episodes now with no discernible changes.

kurotsuki> the fact that they’re dedicating episodes to 1 person being emo and sad shows theyre just trying to fill time.

wawert> sad isnt it? this show really had so much potential when i saw episode 1

Actually, I was starting to get mad at you since you’ve been shortening the summaries for quite a number of episodes now. With the subs being too slow, you’re the only source of up-to-date Tokimeki summaries (out of all the blogs covered by animeblogger.net).

But once the actual subs did come out, it was finally apparent that there really was nothing to blog. :( You were simply correct that the eps were full of crappy fillers. :-\

Oh my … I guess with the sort of eps that are coming out, the chances of the subbers speeding-up (or even finishing) this anime is getting less and less.

Anyways, thanks for still blogging this. I guess we can understand if you decide to drop it. But if you do continue blogging this til the end, all the more thanks, as it seems that I might join Wawert soon and just rely on your coverage.

    Re: above posters,

I watch anime raw, but when I saw “fulla crap” in the blurb for this entry, I also didn’t bother to watch it either…

Well, to be honest Mina’s drama scene reminded me of that of Miharu Tatebayashi’s in Tokimeki Memorial OVA part 2 (when she tearfully “surrendered” her love interest to Shiori Fujisaki over the phone), and to some degree the way things went for Miharu was kinda like Mina - Miharu simply watched her love interest from afar, never actually speaking to him, all the way till she learned his heart was already set for someone else, and she just broke down.

    ひでぽん> あははははは。w だよね :D

Eleu> You can usually tell that if an episode sucks I won’t do a full summary for it hahaha

reekon> When I first read your comment I was like “oh noes now I feel bad” then I continued to read and was like “oh whew he understands why I’m doing this!” XD

Sailor> it seems like you gotta have some tokimeki memorial knowledge to be able to pick these things up and find them interesting…while someone like me that has no prior experience just finds it strangely misplaced.
