Busou Renkin - 17
And the excitement continues this week with a special appearance of Papillon in a mankini. 
So as you probably expected, Kazuki didn’t REALLY die. I mean we have yet to see some raburabu between him and Tokiko and typically the hero doesn’t just die 10 episodes before the show ends etc. Gota wants to finish him off saying he’s a monster but Tokiko tells him that she’s the one who made him this “monster” and she allows Kazuki to drain her energy.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Captain Bravo is off to see his head commander who’s a nasty bastard and has the typical “I am this series’ bad guy” look going on. He says “did you really kill Mutou Kazuki?? Why did you throw him in the water? That wasn’t to let him escape was it?” Bravo says that he really did kill him and is sure that he is dead..although I am starting to think…whoa maybe he really did throw him into the water to let him run away? Hmm.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Kazuki has awakened and to my disappointment there was no crying Tokiko runs up and hugs him reunion scene. Seriously that pissed me off. Where’s the romance everyone’s talking about?? I feel ripped. Oh yea I forgot to mention that that twin girl Ooka-senpai went to Pappillon and he gave her a new busou renkin which revived her little flying turd and gave it butterfly wings rofl. Anyway Kazuki says he’s got like 6 weeks before he becomes a monster and he’s gonna go fight…I don’t know what he’s fighting. Tokiko says she’ll go with him no matter what and that they are as “one”. (1 2 3 screw!)
Gota in the meantime wakes up (cause he also gave some of his energy to Kazuki) and sees all this and gets really upset and walks all emo in the rain. He runs into the his chief (which is that trademark bad guy who confronted Bravo) and the guy demands to know where Kazuki is. Gota says he won’t tell them and they have a fiery battle, which Gota loses but manages to escape from before his chief turned him into BBQ.
Tokiko and Kazuki leave his sister & the gang saying they have another mission. While they are walking Kazuki says he’s sad he won’t be able to do anymore missions as a “trio” but then Gota comes out from the water. Kazuki wants to shake hands and thank him, but Gota slaps it away…in jealousy and when Tokiko goes off to get more bandaids or something, Gota says he’s doing all this for Tokiko only. I don’t think Kazuki gets the whole point about him having a major crush on her but maybe he’ll get the idea (and make out with her) by the end of this series. If not I will be pissed off. 
And as a bonus:
Upcoming Attractions: Papillon fights Gota’s senshichou.

I was kinda expecting they would drag Kazuki “resurrection” (its the 4th time he got killed) to the later part but they wrap it up right at the start.
Oh and that “bonus” put tears in my eyes from laughing, its a well put comedy string starting with Angel Gozen that then seems THAT and tend cues to Ooka in the hospital bed that had a collapse from seeing that.
As for the romance … yes, I was kinda expecting to pick up being its being left at a low key, it shown many times Tokiko have a sweet spot for Kazuki but we are not at the kissing just yet.
I suspect Ooka might also create some tension as well as Gota in that department.
Haha that would be awesome if that happened. I really took a liking to Gota but I don’t wanna have him break up Kazuki & Tokiko
It might interested you that the only romance in the entire 10 volumes was 1 kiss scene, and it wasn’t even explicitly shown. This is like an anime show to promote proper upbringing or something o.o

Yes he is….but I really do wonder where DOES Watsuki get his ideas for all the villains in this show…I mean compared to the ones in Kenshin its like…was he drunk when he came up with character designs? rofl

The head commander isn’t that guy. That guy was former comrade of Bravo of the same team. It’s just that that guy is the leader of the whole killing-Kazuki mission.

Yeah, I agree that he is an ass. I really detest him at first, but not so much afterwards.
