Himitsu no Hanazono - 02
I’ve been preoccupied
with late night work shifts hence why today I will attempt to blog all of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’m glad to see a few of you guys are keeping up with this drama because it’s actually one of the only 2 dramas I picked up this season. I didn’t like anything else I watched unfortunately. Anyway the episodes shows that Osamu wants to give a girl he likes a present and it’s a weird looking kabuki-ish mask. His brothers tell him that’s not the kind of present that will make her happy and he complains why not. They basically tell him that he’s an otaku and the crap he collects isn’t going to interest girls.
He bitches that he’s not an otaku but a “creator” and that all his “items” are just things to help him gain the “energy to create” lol. Ya, whatever. In the meantime, Satoshi is having a conversation with that editor guy for who Kayo reports to, and he asks “Why do you still wanna keep your identity so secret?” Satoshi just replies that a shoujo manga won’t have the same effect if the readers know it’s created by a man, instead of a woman.
In the meantime Kayo has come over to start her assignment but as usual things are out of control. Hinata got tired of Osamu’s bitching and left to walk around the aquarium and at one point ran into a guy who I guess was an old classmate or something. Osamu ran off to the pachinko slots (along with Tanaka) and Wataru went off to draw (although he got tired of the annoying girl by the tree and left.) Before leaving though, Osamu told Kayo to house sit and if she didn’t wanna sit, she could vacuume. And for some reason..she did.
When Hinata & Wataru came back, Kayo leaned the vaccume on the table near where she put the glass of water with flowers. She put them there because Tanaka said men need “shoujo inspiration” while they draw and they were also flowers that HE had brought home. However, the vacuume slipped and knocked the glass of water over…right onto the finished pages of the manga. Wataru saw this and freaked out. As they started to desperately clean the water off, Osamu got home, and he got so angry he told Kayo that she’s fired.
Kayo got really depressed and left. She had dinner that night with her ex-boss, who apparently has some kind of a memory of a “man” (who according to the official site is Tanaka), leaving her for “Hanazono Yuriko”. So of course naturally she hates “Hanazono Yuriko” and “will not forgive her.” Kayo goes to the manga library/store whatever and decides to check out some of their works because Osamu yelled at her for not taking her job seriously. When she got there she saw 2 high school girls reading it and crying.
After reading it herself she decided she wanted to apologize once more and went back to their place. Hinata let her in because he felt bad I guess. When she got there Osamu was locked up in his room refusing to come out, even for food. Even after Kayo’s speech about how she understands that this is a serious job he refused to come out. This time, Satoshi was all like “ok that’s it.” He grabbed a box of Osamu’s otaku items (like a tank, and a plastic robot) and started making noises like he was ripping and breaking them. This drove Osamu nuts and he finally burst out of the room. They got into a fight and eventually calmed down and redid the messed up manga pages. Before Kayo left, they told her that she’s not fired anymore.
Upcoming Attractions: Kayo and Satoshi go on a date??

LMFAO the scene where she’s saying she couldn’t cry at the manga made me LOL.
I loved the 2nd episode as well. All 4 of those brothers can be so intimidating in this weird way LMAO.
I’m curious to see how that guy & annoying girl are connected (bf & gf?? as seen from the 1st ep?) and how the guy is connected to Hinata. Who, I just found out is a year younger than me.. ROFL.
Wow so hes not actually 18? I guess he really is a shota hahaa
he is in the drama, but not in real life rofl which i thought was amusing.
Another great episode. Thanks for blogging this by the way, it helps a ton when figuring out what is happening since I watch raw.
This show continues to be hilarious ^__^ I loved the part when Satoshi pretended he was breaking all Osamu’s stuff and all he was doing was cracking popsicle sticks. (I also spent a half hour or more looking for “Baby Don’t Cry” o_o It’s so catchy that it was worth it ^^.)
