Busou Renkin - 16
Wow so this week’s episode was totally awesome. This show just gets better and better so for those who gave up on it or didn’t bother in the first place you need to go back and watch it…and not waste time watching loli crap that came out in the last 3 weeks. So anyway the gang continues having their fun on the beach. Bravo even shows off his special move where he woos the ladies and apparently it makes them dokidoki. Kazuki tries the same thing on Tokiko but gets his head beaten into the ground instead.
Tokiko meets with that guy at night. I’m sorry I forgot his name so maybe I’ll recall it next week. Apparently Tokiko is his senpai and he had become a renkin senshi since the last she saw him. He also appears to have a maddening crush on her :D. Anyway she thinks he’s here to fight or do damage but he says he’s just here to “overwatch” a mission….to get rid of Kazuki…however the one doing the ridding is not him.
Tokiko quickly realizes that the one doing the deed is Captain Bravo. In the meantime, Bravo called out Kazuki to talk and told him the truth about their organization which actually creates and puts kakugane’s into people. However there are 3 of those black ones. One is in Victor and the 2nd one is in Kazuki. The 3rd one remains to be found. He also admits that Victor didn’t choose to become the way he did, it’s something that happened overtime…similary to what is happening with Kazuki. In otherwords, the whole time they have been “observing” Kazuki rather than “training” him and the kakugange has assimilated with his body to the point where he can no longer ever be a human again.
With this, Captain Bravo explains, he must destroy Kazuki in order for him not to kill people the way Victor does. Kazuki understands but feels that he deserves to live and that he wants to try harder NOT to become like Victor and therefore he will fight back. So the 2 of them fight and in the midst of it Kazuki’s lance evolves. Unfortunately though, Kazuki loses and by the time Tokiko get’s there Bravo’s already thrown Kazuki’s dead body into the ocean. Toki jumps after him but Bravo destroys her leg blade things so that she falls down and then that other senshi guy dives after her to catch her. When they’re in the water she demands he let her go so she can get Kazuki and he keeps telling her that Bravo doesn’t fail his missions and that Kazuki is 100% dead.
Upcoming Attractions: Pappillon’s screentime returns. Oh speaking of I forgot to mention last week there is a new ending theme featuring butterfly boy himself.

I don’t know about everyone else, but my biggest question at this point is “How the hell did Tokiko obtain the black Kakugane to begin with?”
I was thinking she was given one to put into a person if they died but she didnt know it was the black one?
Tokiko retrieved that particular kakugane in a previous mission before meeting Kazuki (her uniform is a disguise from that mission). She’ll explain more about that later…

Nakamura Gota is the name of “that guy”.
Also looking at the preview it seems its not only Pavilion that returns but also Angel Gozen.
Even if spoilerific the wiki entry gives not much of a answer of how he end up with Black Kakugane III … the only clue so far is that Dr. Butterfly had the Kakugane LXX so it could be something he was trying to duplicate (a Black Kakugane) but somehow end up on Tokiko hands.
Also we now see “Sunlight Heart +”, the evolved form of Sunlight Heart and Captain Bravo wins using “Double - Silver Skin: Another Type”, the secondary type of Silver Skin and he is using Kakugane C and LII.

I’m sure we’ll find out stuff cause the plot seems to be moving well now
thou i do understand captain bravo’s reasoning i do feel sorry for kazuki thinking that the captain was a nakama(

Awesome episode,truly this series keeps getting better by the episode can’t wait to see the next episode.
I really thought that this would have jumped the shark after Kazuki went ’super saiyan’ like Victor but having whole renkin senshi group turn against him was cool. I hope they don’t all make up next episode. I want to see a 4 way battle royale with Tokiko & Kazuki Vs Bravo & his superiors Vs Victor Vs Papillion possibly leading the remnants of LXE.
i think i understand this hwole black kakugane thing.. the one she took from that newton apple place was really the black one with a skin over it and became activated by his will to live and fight for tokiko…maybe??
