Kanon - 13

Just for the record, there will be no Sumomomomomomo this week and apparently next week which crushes my dreams oh so very hard…so instead I’ll have to just read the manga. (Currently on volume 3!) Hmm Kanon. So what’s the deal with the everchanging outfits? Frankly it’s really taking the Kanon-ish feeling away. The only thing signifying Shiori anymore is that plaid blanked she has wrapped around herself. I mean if she’s so sick, when does she have time to go around shopping for new clothes? Also since Ayu is now living with Yuuichi it’s making everything REALLY WEIRD. Him bringing her to school and going “Hey Mai can you tell me the ending of this show thing Ayu is
looking for?” If you listen to the dialogue in that scene really closely, it basically gives away the ending to Mai’s and Ayu’s stories. I guess in a sense this show is more fun to watch when you know what happens and when they drop these hints you sit there going “Ooooh!”
Oh and Yuuichi’s harem juggling skills are amazing. This is probably the best kept harem I’ve ever seen. I mean in other harems, there’s always cat fights but this one is like in perfect balance. All the girls get along if they run into each other and no one is ever jealous of anyone else. Then again, I have yet to see the male protagonist actually “blush and get embarrassed” or have one of the girls accidentally trip and land boob-first into his face.

大きいアゴ(゚∀゚)ッ!!
日本では東映版カノンは無かった事になっています(黒歴史)
Yuuichi`s harem juggling skills are based on the fact he really listens what the girls talk to him,and tries to understand them(except Nayuki).Of course this can be taken as a joke.It seems impossible for me to decide if those ghosts/monsters Mai is fighting are real(in this fiction`s universe)or only in her imagination.Yuuchi joining her fight can be seen as sympathy to Mai.Of course there is many hints of vice-versa.Oh,those Bentou-lunch times with Yuuichi,Sayuri and Mai,look all the food, they can be called as “Big-time Eaters Club”.
your comment at the end is exactly why kanon fails! Its no fun watching yuuichi manhandle his women. I like to lead to be a little inept at least, even if he is rather capable as a harem lead.
ひでぽん> あはははでしょ?w
Kari> He listens? More like he makes fun of them
yeah, Mai’s imagination devastated ballroom and threw Sayuri on the wall…
In many Animes demons are very real…
and Kanon IS into supernatural!

Actually, Yuuichi did get as close to that when he saw Makoto in the bathtub. Only that he wasn’t embarrassed.
It seems that each girl’s personality seems to conflict with another, resulting in a minimalised interaction. Like Nayuki is always too sleepy to ever notice Ayu in the morning, and Ayu’s phobia of spirits keep her away from the school where Mai is at night.
Hence, Yuuichi barely requires much effort in his ‘juggling’ since all of the girls from his harem rarely meet up all at once.
Oh, and I agree that it is weird that Yuuichi thinks of Mai as a fortune teller, who predicts the future, ever since the Makoto incident. I would’ve laughed if Mai said something blatant like, ‘No spoilers for you, Yuuichi.’
But that’s what her speech pretty much implied.
Yea it almost seems as if KyoAni can’t stand to wait themselves and they’re spitting out clues right & left

I see potential for fight in Mai as shes the most martial minded one, and first to say she loves Yuichi (in preview of ep14)
They probably dont fight because they know that Mai would take them all on and win.
