Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~ - 13
Hope every had a spiffy Christmas! I sure did! (Although it seems most the posts are “MY CHRISTMAS IS A LONELY ONE (T_T)!!”) 
SAYURI SNAPS! Wow I was totally waiting for this episode to happen. This is where it gets really good! So anyway Sayuri is busy trying to get everything together for the school festival and she’s obviously taken on more than she can handle. To make things worse, her own class can’t even decide on what they will do because all the guys want to do a maid cafe (mainly because they want to see Sayuri in a maid oufit — making all the other girls violently jealous.)
Riku once again is worried about Sayuri taking all of these things upon herself. Even when he offers to help her, she tells him that she can take care of it. He then gets dragged by the army of the teacher in charge of acting. She tells him that she wants him to get Sayuri to be in the play for the school festival. She says that she was “impressed” by her when she saw her the time Riku had “confessed” his love.
Mina in the meantime has gathered her courage to ask Riku to hang out with her but he’s got Sayuri on his mind and how to get her into the school festival play. He runs after her to ask her when she walks out of the class but gets intercepted by Tsukasa who just won’t let go. (Let go woman!) Eventually Sayuri is surrounded by everyone asking her questions and then seeing Tsukasa glomping Riku who’s desperately telling her to get off. Then she snaps and yells “SHUT UP!!” to everyone and runs off.
Everyone is really shocked to hear Sayuri do this and say stuff like “Wow that’s the first time I ever saw her like that.” Riku in the meantime finally gets Tsukasa off himself and runs around to look for Sayuri. He runs past the tree where he first met Sayuri and she introduced herself to him. While there he notices a paper airplane fly towards the tree. He looks in the direction where it came from and sees an open window in a classroom with Sayuri sitting next to it. He runs into the room where she is and says he was afraid that something he said may have caused Sayuri to flip her lid. Sayuri apologizes for acting the way she did and then says that this is her secret hiding place where the sunset is pretty and no one can bother her while she recollects herself. Riku then uses the opportunity to ask her to be in the school festival play and she agrees.
Upcoming Attractions: A blond transfer student girl to add to Riku’s ever growing harem.

The way Aoba shrugged off Mina’s request and Tsukasa’s advances to get to Sayuri pretty much puts Sayuri in the lead now. I’m not saying “Game Over” as we’re only halfway through, and I guess that new transfer student in Ep 14 would have a go. But I’m very curious how much groveling he’ll do (at least to Tsukasa, not much to Mina) to get back in the other two’s good graces, if he bothers at all. Being the Mina fan that I am, I think his behavior through this ep pretty much sucked. Ah, kids….
Btw, you see a good shot of the transfer student in the middle of the ep. At least she has 3 guys raving about her from the get go.
These next few eps are gonna be hard to sit through because they’re gonna be focusing on the blonde girl or probably have Riku bouncing back and forth between Tsukasa/Mina/Sayuri. I’m still rooting for Sayuri though….I believe that when she snaps she truly has an awesome personality.
Sayuri’s obviously jealous but I see very little development of her attraction to Riku.
And Riku’s whiny voice has finally gotten to me. Does he have to sound panicky for the slightest non-event? Though I still think he has the mettle to be a respectable harem lead if we mute him. XD

I have to agree with Stripey.
It’s getting to the point where everytime Riku opens his mouth it’s nothing but simpering moans and whines.
I’m kinda hoping the jealous guy’s in the school take him behind the gym and actually give him something to simper about.
A angsty Riku beat down, that would make an interesting and enjoyable episode.
good god, this anime reminds me classic Seasons of Sakura (recently refreshed its memory courtesy of JAST memorial pack)
I was wondering if the transfer student was the blond girl in the magazine. I saw green eyes during the preview.
I think Riku’s moans and whines were better fit for Tamaki from Ouran Koukou Host Club. I gotta admit it’s a bit squeaky at times.

Awesome! Intense emotion from Sayuri is what I’ve been waiting to see. Must see these episodes subbed!

In all honestly, I think the OTHER girls in Riku’s class would make an awesome harem themselves. Tsukasa just needs to get kicked out and it would be good to go.

The story got better after this ep, but if only Riku will stop acting so wimpy…
