Sumomomo Momomo - 12
The opening theme this week contained a bunch of sound effects like the sound of Sanae’s jiggling boobs. I really do feel sorry for Hanzou. The guy deserves some love. 
So anyway Koushi gets sick and Momoko tries her best to help him get well. Of course her methods of getting well are tying him up in bed and getting naked. Unfortunately this only lands her to be tied up herself. (Boy lotsa bondage this week?) Iroha finds out about this and wants to help make Koushi feel better as well. This makes Hanzou insanely jealous.
Iroha & Momoko take Koushi to the hospital. Midway they carry him and run him head first into Sanae’s boobs. He suddenly leans on her shoulder, and this pisses Iroha off so she calls upon Hanzou to come and carry Koushi instead. At the hospital, Hanzou ties up the doctor in bondage and uses his Ninja Henge Jutsu (blame Naruto) to disguise as the doctor. No one can tell the difference until Iroha starts calling out for him.
Eventually Hanzou gets caught and gets a huge shot in his arm. Hanzou has not given up yet. He ties up Koushi and shoves him into a sleeping bag and places it next to his bed. He then disguises himself as Koushi and has Momoko and Iroha sit on him. Iroha runs and climbs up a steep mountain to get a special herb to make him feel better because obviously there’s no Sudafed in Japan. She climbs up running into Sanae who took a bus to get there :lol:. Sanae then goes off in her S&M suit to train with her grandma while Iroha goes back to Koushi’s house.
When Momoko goes to make soup for Koushi from the herb, Iroha is torn between her feelings. On one hand she wants to support Momoko & Koushi’s marriage, but on the other she has the major hots for him. He then tells her that she should eat dinner and go home soon and she says she refuses to leave until he gets better. She then gets up on top of his legs on the futon and does more ero-loli stuff and attempts to kiss him. The apple plate falls and Iroha comes back to her senses and jumps off apologizing.
So anyway to change the subject Koushi (who is still really Hanzou) asks Iroha why she never cares about her “sidekick” Hanzou. She says that she doesn’t see him as a man, and says how he’s weak and a stupid otaku. Hanzou/Koushi begins crying and then Iroha goes on to say that he is important to her because he was the only one who stayed with her when the rest of the clan went off their separate ways. Hanzou is so moved he tears his Koushi mask off. Iroha then realizes it’s him and beats the hell out of him. When Momoko comes back with the soup a drop of blood splatters on her cheek and she has no idea wtf is goin on. In the meantime Koushi is crawling around like a worm in the sleeping bag begging for someone to get him out.
I read volume 1 of the manga today. The only downside is there is no furigana so I figured out most of what’s going on, only due to watching the anime. However the major noticeable difference is instead of saying “Let’s follow our duties of love” or whatever Momoko babbles, in the manga she directly says “Please have sex with me.” I think if the anime left it like that it woulda been funnier. Oh and the other thing is it appears Momoko’s more endowed in the manga rather then being a petanko like she appears to be in the anime.
Upcoming Attractions: The turtle girl appears and her boobs are bigger than Sanae’s.

Turtle girl!? That’s not among the 12 animals, unless they’re mixing up the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Symbols_%28Chinese_constellation%29]4 Chinese beast-gods[/url] in as well (Phoenix, Dragon, Turtle, and Tiger); i.e. the ones that inspired Fushigi Yuuji.
Its definitely turtle. Even the episode title is like “horse vs turtle.” I’m pretty confused myself.
Well whatever. I wonder though if she’ll give the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a run for their money
Poor Hanzou otakus never get the respect they deserve. Oh well hopefully Sanae doesn’t get “shell” shocked.

Isn’t the reason why they don’t directly say,”Please have sex with me.” due to the so-called censorship laws in Japan? Since Sumomomo is technically not a hentai anime and the masses are watching it, there would have to be some form of censorship isn’t it?
im sure lots of us would prefer the use of the old dialoge but due to tv restrictions or something they had to change the “please have sex with me” lines to similar phrases which is where we get stuff like that “Let’s follow our duties of love”, “share a bed with me”,etc.
Why does Sanae have to wear that stupid thing in her mouth?That annoys me,despite she still manages to talk with a reasonably clear voice.Her mother can`t be the real one,or HOW IN HELL did her father look like,so their genes could have produced so beautiful daughter?Masaka.I rank Sumomomo Momomo as one of 2 best anime in this season,everybody knows what the other is(hint:sad girls in..)

The landlady is her grandmother, not her mother, and unlike the very similar grandmother-of-the-rival character of Cologne in Ranma, she apparently used to be quite attractive, as was shown in a semi-flashback back in episode 9. While talking about how she muscular men “drove her crazy” when she was young, they show what is presumably her, much younger and naked, clinging to a very muscular, and nearly naked man, at around the 8:50 mark. Kinda makes you wonder what Sanae’s going to look like in 60 years…
dont know about you …but if my leader called me a dog i wouldnt want that person as a leader……
