Happiness! - 12 (Finale)

So apparently JP’s spamcatcher has been eating people’s comments so I think he fixed that. I’ll keep my eyes peeled though. So it turns out that Koyuki and Anri faked their “injuries” until Ibuki and the bro/sis combo left. The reason being is Koyuki wanted her prediction to come true but in such a way that neither of them would get hurt. In the meantime, Ibuki runs to basically go and resurrect her dead sister. You fool, haven’t you watched Full Metal Alchemist?

So as usual her plan fails, just like with the time of her father. Don’t you hate it when kids repeat their parents’ mistakes? Damn. So then the blob which first resembles her sister, turns back into a monster and its hands protrude out (via FMA style) and then turn into a bunch of dragons that create a huge…….big shiny thing full of dragons in the sky.

Yuuma’s been sitting emoing on a park bench watching little kids play. Hachi finds him and then calls up Jun & Haruhi, who arrive shortly. Haruhi then tells Yuuma that his magic inspired her to become a mage, and that she is the girl he rescued in the park. She also gives him the flute of Ibuki’s sister that he will use to help defeat the dragon sky monster things. Oh yea and she also kisses him earning a “KYAA” from Jun.

So then Yuuma arrives at the scene and saves the day with his magical flute. (JP really wanted me to say magic skin flute.) Also all the girls give Yuuma their power in the form of a naked spirit appearing around him. I personally think this is a euphemism for the hentai scenes in the game. So anyway by their powers combined Captain Planet Yuuma destroys the monster.

In the end they just show the “everyday lives” of everyone. Yuuma’s real mom and Koyuki’s mom hanging out together. (Btw Yuuma did find out who his real mom is thanks to the “memories” of the flute.) Ibuki and Sumomo are eating lunch again together. The bro/sis combo are stupid as usual. Yuuma transfers into the magic classes along with Haruhi. However, his magic is ridiculously strong and when he tries to make a sprout grow he ends up growing an entire ring of Sakura trees (a la Da Capo.) Haruhi’s final comment is how she’s happy yay!

Final Thoughts: Hmm well it was better than Yoake mae yori aho na ~Cabbage Love~….but I wouldn’t watch it again. Too many stupid episodes to make up for the good ones.

    This isn’t right. How can they NOT have watched FMA?!
    At least it didn’t feature mutant cabbages.

    Perhaps its better but fansubs are at 10 in ~Cabbage Love~ and this I think the last one was 5.

    Man I liked this ending actually. After seeing Haruhi kiss Yuuma I was like “Well, it’s about time!”

    I also got a chuckle from that Captain Planet joke. (/me starts getting fiendish ideas like maybe a Happiness AMV using the Captain Planet op/theme? Someone else did it with Gatekeepers and it was rather funny)

    She’s my Hero gonna beat Ibuki down to zero…

    So Haruhi did me proud and got her man, took her long enough, but she got there. At the very least she did not disgrace her namesake. Whatever may await her when I consign her series to posterity may she always keep that adorable haircut.

    A flute?! Bah! Why not a guitar or a tuba? If Yuuma magic failed at least he could bludgeon somthing.

    If this were a bit more successful I would be holding out hope for a Jun-centric special.

    A tuba would be SOO awkward dont you think? lol.

    A Jun special might be funny. Actually this show woulda been better had they included more Jun jokes instead of focusing 2 eps on Ibuki
