My post disappeared. Oh well, the actual part where she disappeared wasn't as painful as the buildup to it. Especially the parts where she struggles to say something to Yuuichi. The heavy implications of "if these things happen, she's going to..." was just too painful for me to ignore. I suppose the moment(s) which hit me the hardest was when Makoto meets Amano and barely manages to squeak out her own as well as Yuuichi's name. The part where she told Yuuichi that she wanted to marry him was also a very hard thing to bear. I am trying very hard not to re-enact the scene in my head. So far I've managed to prevent myself from contemplating too much. phew. Hrmm. My post disappeared.

I expected Makoto's death to be more...dramatic, but in the end she just vanished without a trace after so much build up. But overall, Kyoani pulled off the degeneration till the final moments of Makoto really well. Yuuichi seemed to overcome Makoto's death pretty quickly though. I think that the spring on the hill is part of the Makoto miracle. She liked spring the most and so when she miricalized(new word), I guess it became spring on the hill.
