Mamoru-kun - 08 & Other Stuff

Whoa I’m back from Thanksgiving (with JPMeyer). Was supposed to blog more stuff yesterday but Mucinex knocked me out completely. (I could barely stay awake throughout this episode actually.) Was gonna write up a summary for this but I wasn’t really too happy with the episode. It was your typical hot spring episode but it was in the cold mountains. As usual the student council had set everything up in order to “make a man” out of Mamoru. As usual all it did was confuse the poor kid and piss off Ayako. It was mostly focused on the swirly haired girl and her brother’s relationship and how they used to fight when they were kids so if you’re into that you might enjoy the episode.

In other news, although I stopped reading the Naruto manga (I mean I still read it but only when I buy the full books, I don’t feel like rading the weekly chapters anymore.) However, looking through animenano I’ve been seeing blog entries about the finally coming out of the 2nd Naruto Anime season. Hooray! The bad news is that means filler until probably April :( O well that means I probably won’t really be watching anymore. Not that I really still watch it anymore but if a filler is funny I’ll check it out. Oh well that’s good news for us Naruto fans, and if I’m still blogging in April I will definitely be doing it on a weekly basis rather than once every 2 months like I do now.

    I really have to remember to check this out sometime; it looks pretty interesting. I need to start watching more anime. Being manga-only is really slow…

    So uh….you and jpmeyer…did this happen recently or was I totally oblivious until that one podcast with the pigeon-rape. Deeeetaaaaails. @_@

    Anyways, good thing naruto is ending, but I’ve grown this huge hate-pimple in my brain and I don’t think animating the time-skip will pop it. (hows that for a mental image) I’m a huge fan and I know WAY too much about it and was WAY too into it back in the day. I think I just lost steam somewhere like…30 episodes into the fillers. I wonder how many people are similar in that aspect.

    The pigeon rape podcast was pretty much it basically :lol:
    LOL pimple :lol: I think I’m getting sick of Naruto in general. I don’t even read the weekly shounen jumps anymore…I just wait till I get the tankoubon and read the whole thing at once
