Kanon - 07

It’s really amazing what a change of scenery can do to enlighten the mood of the scene. It was much more dramatic in the sunset than in random bright daylight. Also in the TOEI version rather than randomly dropping it, Makoto was about to THROW it (@_@;;) and when Yuuichi tried to stop her, the cat scratched her and then fell off on to a speeding truck. (Althogh he had a much softer landing than in the KyoAni one ;___; noo kitty~~~)
I don’t get something, since when does Nayuki have a cat allergy? Is this something new or was it around before? And if she has one, why does the cat stay in the house? Just because he’s in “Makoto’s room” isn’t gonna make her allergic any less. Don’t these people ever own cats?
Btw this week had a lot of DEAD GIVEAWAYS on Makoto. That’s about it, I’m dead tired and I need a cup of Theraflu.

Nayuki has always had the cat allergy. It’s also a part of the game IIRC. What confused me in the Toei version was how Piro stayed at the house, but yeah, we didn’t see signs of Nayuki being allergic.
Wahh, I have a recurring feeling that Makoto is going to die or something! And if she is a fox, then she’s probably going to change back or something. Noo!
Allergic Nayuki FTW! Cat vs Truck reminds me of the time a bird flew smack into the windshield of a F350 unfotrunately for the bird it was no anime and I had to use the wiper blades to unblock my sight…it even left a dent.
Now I am a bit curious of what will replace Auuu.
There’s a game CG with the cat on Nayuki’s head and she’s laughing and crying at the same time.
notice the fox on the hill has 2 tails, its believed Kitsune are both magical and vengeful beings and have more tails with age and power…
Nayuki’s always been allergic to cats in both the game and the 2002 version. I just think she never actually touched Piro in 2002 so didn’t really show or do anything besides mention it a couple times.
Kanon has becoming a “let’s see what other not-so-subtle hints KyoAni can drop” game.
Like the close-up of Ayu’s bag when her and Yuuichi were talking about what she’s forgotten and the Fox Dim Sum sign in SS/Eclipse’s subs (13:32). Hae~ Ahaha~
I don’t recall the allergy in the game or 2002 anime hence why I wanted to make sure.
yea i recall the nayuki CG with the cat but i think that was the one scene i never actually got to in the game XD
Yuiichi did say “rest in peace” to Makoto at the end of the episode, what he didn’t know is he is going to say it again, for real.
Oops, is this a spoiler?
Makoto made me mad in this episode. I seriously thought the cat was going to die. In reality, I think the cat would be pretty much dead or crippled. XD; Oh, how anime tramples over reality.
Yuuichi was somewhat less annoying in this episode, so I suppose they had to make up for it by upping Makoto’s annoyance meter.
Kyoani’s “interleaving” approach just isn’t working for me… maybe they should dump it and go to the modular approach? I’d certainly enjoy 2-3 consecutive episodes of Makoto-centered drama a lot more than 12 minutes of filler followed by 12 minutes of attempted drama.
after this eps .. i admit that i really like Sayuri’s laughing .. ahaha
Sayuri’s laughing sounds exactly like Misuzu from AIR
“Sayuri’s laughing sounds exactly like Misuzu from AIR”
Of course…Sayuri’s seiyuu is the same as Misuzu.
