Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na ~Crescent Love~ - 06

Published by Hinano at 10:14 pm under Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na

I actually liked this episode, even though when I step back and think about it, it’s another truckload of cliches. The title of the episode is “A princess cannot fall in love.” Okay just from that you should pretty much know which direction this show is headed. Yes that’s right, the earth boy CANNOT BY ANY MEANS ever fall in love with the moon girl. And that blonde girl, Riisu, is sent down to earth to prevent this from happening.

Patting on the head..he's a goner. Anyway she interferes and Tatsuya ends up saving her from an incoming car (even though it’s obvious she could have done so herself.) He pats her on the head and she blushes which causes an obvious stir in her feelings. Oh I forgot to mention, earlier Tatsuya bought Feena a mug she saw in the store window and he had this dream that she was gonna kiss him as a reward for it.

We then run into a bunch more cliches. One is that in class Tatsuya drops his eraser and him and Feena both go for it, and pick it up and touch hands and blush. Then he notices her put her toothbrush into his cup and she profusely appologizes, blushes and runs away etc. In the restaurant one night they high five each other to decide who will serve what table. Riisu keeps getting telepathic messages to stop them but she is torn between her feelings (whatever loli feelings they are) for Tatsuya.

Later one night Tatsuya’s sister asks him if he likes Feena. He stutters but before he can answer, she explains how Feena is the moon princess and it’s their responsibility to take care of her and not do such things. He says there’s no way he likes her like that. At the same time, Feena is drinking out of the mug Tatsuya gave her, on the moon, and that purple haired chick says “All you do is talk about him, you have to realize he’s an earthling” etc. When Feena comes back to Tatsuya’s house, he seems happy to see her, until she won’t look him in the face and walks sadly inside.

yea this reminds me of the drama that I dropped, but thankfully, these episodes are only like 24 min while the drama was 45 per ep XD

Cliches become cliches because they work emotionally, as they did in this episode. Originality is of the head. This is of the heart.

hashi> true, however, sometimes general direction of a cliche can work better in one way than another. I wont say it didn’t WORK for me here, but i’ve seen similar cliches done in a more creative way.

Why is the main character in bishoujo to anime conversion always such a wimp?

actually i think the guy in Gift Eternal Rainbow is like a self declared pimp

I’d actually say Tatsuya is a very family caring guy, so it doesn’t matter if he’s a wimp or not. He loves his family; that’s all that matters. Tatsuya is better than most of bishoujo game main characters.
