By the way, there is a joke in Korea, that I am not sure of its existence in Japan, about taiyaki: There is no 'tai( as in fish )' in 'taiyaki'. It means you cannot put too much value on mere name of something. However, I have seen a Korean vendor that actually sold taiyaki with shredded oden ( which is made from fish ) as the filling; wasn't that tasty but adequate enough to serve as emergency meal.
