I'm new to anime, so unfortunatly, I still tend to look at the things underneath the surface. Is that a wrong way to look at anime? Though I feel, in the end, regardless of the format, a story is a story. Or, could it be that this is such a common occurence in Japanese anime that we are unfazed by it?
