Kanon - 03

This is as much game CG data as I could get for this week
Whoa so where are all the massive Kanon posts today!?? Is everyone tired already? Uhm so let’s see not many game CG’s this week which basically just means we’re seeing mostly story/dialogue. Instead I shall compare the crappyness of the TOEI episode. First of all I don’t know why but Makoto sounds different. I think the seiyuu is the same but she sound different. Yuuichi sounds like Kyon as usual. (月宮あゆの憂鬱？）Ok so the difference is when Yuuichi was in the shopping center, and Ayu glomped him, in the TOEI version he was there with Akiko. The other thing is, in the TOEI version Ayu slips and falls face flat into the ground. At least in this version she glomped him and then he pushed her off. (I guess he doesn’t like FYGs? :lol:) I also found Ayu cute this week when Yuuichi kept making fun of her Uguu’s. :lol: SPAM MIKKE!

The other noticeable difference is Misaka Shiori. This time her outfit is actually “proper” for the blizzard she was standing in. In the game and the TOEI version, she was in that thin sweater and dress with the little blanket over her. Excuse me but….what’s up with “I have a cold, so I am standing in a blizzard because lately I’ve gotten better.” Okay I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have a cold. I don’t rememember what it is but I thought it either required surgery or it was so horrible that she tried to committ suicide. Where’s the suicide bit? At least show the card board cutter knife. That was actually a CG in the game, which pretty much signifies it as being something important.

GLOMP!Oh yea in the TOEI version Makoto shows her hatred for Yuuichi by scribbling all over his notebook and breaking his pencils. Here in the Kyoani one, he only asks to borrow Nayuki’s notes because he says his school hasn’t “reached this point” yet. Coincidentally when Yuuichi gets home, Makoto glomps him. (Lotsa glomping in this version.) I thought she’s supposed to hate him?? It’s more of like “Haha I’m better than you” rather than “I Hate you!” Also in the part where Ayu and Yuuichi are looking for “her lost thing” never happened in the TOEI version. Yuuchi was a moron who was like “Hey good luck finding it I’m cheering you on!” and then Ayu said thanks and ran off. Whatever “feeling” KyoAni is trying to add to this anime, is definitely working and definitely is “missing” in the TOEI one.

    Um, what’s a FYG? (not Fuzzy Young Girl or something is it?)

    Oh and Yuuchi dropping that sponge-like thing in Makoto’s shirt and her reaction to it (resulting in some carnage to the kitchen) was too funny :D.

    It’s like some kind of sponge-like food substance…I had such a huge smile on my face (and LOL’ed at certain scenes) during most of the episode, although the keitai scene was quite sobering.

    I now think it’s a mistake to begin watching anime with Kanon each week, because every other show pales in contrast.

    Haha Yea it is lol….I really try not to spoil Kanon when I do my commentaries but I keep forgetting that a lot of people are watching it for the first time (rather than knowing the story like me XD)

    I wouldn’t say Kanon makes other shows pale in comparison because my thursday lineup is pretty varied on the type of shows I watch…however Sumomomo is like the show I look fwd to the most. I love Kanon and all but I need something genki to cheer me up XD

    WTF is with nighttime vigilante Maifighting with katana? and why Ayu seems out of this world (WTF is cell phone?) I never seen original Kanon, so no spoilers please, but I got a bad feeling about this…

    He put konnyaku down her shirt. XD I only know because I cook a lot of Japanese food, and it’s a common ingrediant in things.
