Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - 26 (Finale)

of this story, please purchase the game. LAWL. Uhh okay well at least that scene with Keiichi and Rena came out as predicted but that’s about it. So anyway Rena decides to tie up the entire classroom threatening to kill them if the cops didn’t comply with her orders. To make sure of this, she also set up a bomb inside the building set to explode at a certain time. Oh and as a backup plan she doused the whole classroom in gasoline as well. She tied everyone up except Keiichi saying that he is her “ally”.
Rena then start scratching more maggots out of her neck…and this time they freakin zoom in on the nasty things. Thank god this is anime, or I’d be throwing up right now? Next she ties up Mion and starts wacking her on the head with the back of the cleaver claiming that it’s her fault that Rena got caught. (I’m surprised she didn’t get a concussion! Mion must really be a beefcake.) Keiichi cries and begs for her to stop. At this point Keiichi had gone outside to deliver Takano’s transcripts over to Oiishi. There they had given him a radio received ear piece and told him information about the bomb.
While Rena was on the phone with Oiishi (who was creating a diversion), Keiichi had asked Rika & Satoko for help because they said they smelled something funny the day before. With their help Keiichi was able to find and deactivate the bomb. The battle wasn’t over yet though. After all the kids escaped outside to safety, Rena goes up on the roof and has an exciting Bat vs Cleaver battle with Keiichi. Rika is still mumbling in her emo voice about how Keiichi will be able to come up with a proper conclusion etc.
And of course in the end they are fighting and discussing what they will do if the other wins. Keiichi said Rena will be his maid, and Rena said she wants Keiichi to do the same but not really be a maid. Rather she wanted him to be with her so that she isn’t lonely etc. Aww poor girl just wants some lovin’. So in the end Rena won, and although Keiichi told her to slice him, Rena dropped her cleaver and began to cry saying she doesn’t wanna do it. Then Keiichi gives her a warm hug and she cries in his arms and he tells her that she should believe in her friends. And then a few days later they are showing another “cycle” of Higurashi, and this time Oiishi is telling Rika that Tomitake has been killed etc. And then we hear Rika’s voice going “this cycle’s over but the mysteries of Higurashi are still there” go buy the game read animesuki forums etc blah the end.
Final Thoughts: Well as we all expected they weren’t going to animate the whole thing since the game ending came out a month ago. I’m hoping maybe they will at least put out some kind of OVA with the real ending but until then we’ll have to relay on people’s spoilers/screenshots/summaries (cause I’m not about to play this game XD).

Ah, I do hope they make an OVA for the remaining arcs. My favorite arc from the start was the Watanagashi arc. After seeing the answer arc for it, I loved it even more. XD I still like Shion.
I wonder if the computer novels can be ripped off of some torrent site. Ha ha, I would just act like I knew what was going on.

Well, I was hoping for the show to get back to the supernatural aspect and I guess it has, because I’m wondering where in the blue blazes Rena got a bomb. Arrgghh! I’m also hoping that they do an OVA. I don’t feel like playing the game either, I spend enough time on the computer as it is.
Not sure exactly where Rena got the bomb, but Rena stole a lot of money from her family i think it said and that could have funded her terrorist act.

Lol. But seriously…a bomb? It’s like as if there’s any shops selling explosives in the area, considering that they are residing in an isolated village.
Well, now I know those blue bands around her neck and wrists aren’t really fashion accessories, but rather to hide her scars, and maggots, from all that scratching. She’s got bugs for blood.
Nice daybreak-ish action at the end, though I felt that the conclusion was kinda rushed and a little lame to some extent. Got to love the last screenshot.
No last kiss scene? Aww…

Yea I TOTALLY wanted Keiichi to at least kiss her on the forehead or something XD Oh well my hopes werent that high, since the anime isnt romantically focused anyway
Well, the most Keiichi/Mion and Keiichi/Rena love we got was hugging, but I guess that’s to be expected. XD I’m hoping to god they make an OVA, I’d play the games, but 1: I don’t know where/how to get them 2: I can’t read Japanese (And I have fairly limited ability in speaking it).
Coincidentally someone posted games 1-8 on Tokyotosho today but I know I’m not gonna play them so I didn’t bother downloading it.

Whle not perhaps being aliens, parasites causing people paranoia (everyone is after me!) and causing them to go berserk pretty much are confirmed.

This ties with gas incident… seems someone in highest authority decided that Hinamizawa is threat to national security and exterminated whole population.
As for Takano, she radiates evil more than any of the killer lolis (especially now we know their killings are result of worms taking away their sanity). Her research is making me believing she can be secret agent from some organization looking into Hinamizawa troubles.
Guys in the van seem to be military or something (remember Oiishi’s comments after encounter with kidnappers of minister grandson?)
Is Takano with them or against them? Tomitake oozes military style, possibly is a bodyguard for Takano.

WOW! I never imagined I was so close to real story behind it! well, the burned Takano corpse smelled fake death from the beginning… Oishi is dumb as a brick that he all the time pursued his Sonozakis theory… after all, he became proverbial dumb provincial cop

Hinano, about the 2nd season of Higurashi, I think it will be about the remaining two answer arcs of the series: Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen.
i thought it was gonna be a remake?
I thought also at first there will be a remake, too. Maybe because these two arcs are yet to be animated like the previous six arcs.
I’ve check the official website and it said they might be released on July 7, 2007. THAT I am NOT very sure about the info because I’ve used the AltaVista Babel Fish translation site to translate it english, but that site really sucks at translating. Can you tell me what really says? :)(It is found at the very top part of the latest news under 2007.3.22 on the official site.)

I just found out that the 2nd season of this anime will be an original arc called Yakusamashi-hen (Disaster Awakening Chapter), which it is B4 Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen.
lol keichi always dies somehow^_^ he can be so dumb sometimes though….but i swear i think the author of higurashi nona ku koro ni is upsesed whit people getting their throat clawd out like the first chapter keichi kill him self i think he died from a hemmoragic shock from loosing to much blood after clawing his throat outlol^_^
