Sapuri - 11 (Finale)
Okay this ALMOST
joined the other 2 dramas in “horribly ended dramas of the season” but in the end it still satisfied me and I feel all warm and squishy inside. ^____^ Soo anyway Ishida is staying with his surfing buddy in the meantime. However, he comes back to Imaoka’s house to get his surf board and gets caught by Natsuki. She makes him spill the beans and says she doesn’t understand why adults have to “separate” for the “better”. In the meantime Fujii finally figures out a good slogan for the watch campaign…thanks to her feelings for Ishida.
So anyway Imaoka has to come to the presentation for the watch thing which coincides with Natsuki’s recital. During the presentation, he flips open his notes and sees a little doodle she made for him that says “enjoy”. He suddenly stutters and tells everyone he has a stomach problem and runs off telling them that Fujii will take care of the rest. Everyone is shocked, but Fujii manages to give a presentation that actually impresses the old geezers enough to accept their slogan. Her slogan was “WATCHing with you” and she showed images of people together with a “watch” around them as if they were the arrows. She gave a long speech about how she met a guy (Ishida) and always had to watch after him, but in the end he was the one watching after her.
Imaoka comes to the recital and gives Natsuki the confidence to play successfully. In the audience, he sits next to that OL lady (god damn it’s the last episode and I still don’t remember her name). She tells him “I don’t mind taking back the guy who’s complicated” and they hold hands. After the end of the recital, when everyone leaves, the 3 of them are left behind. Natsuki and Imaoka play piano together while the OL watches them from the audience.
After the presentation Fujii walks out and Ogiwara follows her. He tells her “All your feelings that you just said in that presentation…I think Ishida deserves to hear them.” He also tells her that Ishida didn’t run away from her, he was so worried about her that he didn’t want her to bury herself in her work to avoid the lonliness etc. He tells Fujii that Ishida’s back at his hometown working as a creator for a really tiny farm company. Fujii quickly rushes and goes to see him. There she tells him out loud “I love you” but the next part had me giving my monitor middle fingers and cursing profusely. He started babbling that this is the job he likes, and that’s all he sees now, so give him a few years to become a man and he will come back for Fujii-san. Fujii cries, and then they run up to each other hug and totally make out like whoa ;D.
So finally they show what happened afterwards. Imaoka is strict as usual piling work up on Fujii. Fujii however, doesn’t stay up all night doing it. She leaves on time and meets up with Ishida who says “Do you know like I’ve waited for you 100 years?” and she says “Like, sorry.”
They hold hands and walk away and live happily ever after YAAAAYYYY!!!!!!! *explodes* Okay honestly I loved this drama. Despite the strange speech by Ishida in that before-makeout scene, the ending was satisfying. Way more than MBMH and TNU. And for those who don’t know, Kamenashi Kazuya will be starting in another drama this fall but the plot looks way cheesy so I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch it.
And this concludes the summer drama season. Stay tuned hopefully I’ll be blogging some new stuff coming this fall!

What do you mean by almost? Dramas starring Itoh Misaki can do no wrong! (Kidding, Dangerous Sister and a few others were quite painful to watch.) But the ending for Sapuri was pretty good (although not unexpected, I’m always a sucker for happy endings). I’m just hoping the Densha Otoko special won’t turn out too bad…
theyre really milking densha but since Kame is better looking than the densha guy this automatically makes it better xDDD Although I really loved the densha drama ^^
