School Rumble II - 25

Published by Hinano at 9:22 pm under School Rumble II

Wow. What a powerful episode. I haven’t felt a Tenma x Harima thing since season 1, but after this episode it’s as if my ship for it has been set for sail once again. So anyway Harima calls for Yakumo to come help him with the manga because it’s due the next morning. The thing is, the one who shows up at his doorstep is Tenma, and we know how much skills she has doing anything so basically she’s just there to use Harima’s heart as a basketball. Harima tries showing her his manga so she could get his “message” to her but she’s as dense as log and it doesn’t get through.

In the meantime Yakumo is home alone and she starts saying to herself that “I wonder if Harima-san likes my sister”. I guess somebody finally put 2 & 2 together. In the meantime she finds an old picture book she read when she was young. It’s called “The lonely ghost”. It’s a story about a ghost and a ball that were friends but got in a fight and went their separate ways. After that the ghost kept looking for the ball because it was very lonely, but was unable to find it. Harima and Tenma are “working” and they discuss various stuff about manga and realize they have more in common than they thought.

At one point Tenma says that she can relate to the main character of the manga (harima) because he has trouble confessing his feelings. She says she knows what that’s like, especially if you don’t say your feelings directly to the other person. Harima thinks this over and prepares to confess to Tenma. Just as he’s about to though, their stomachs growl and they go to eat. Tenma attempts to make dinner but completely burns the pasta but they eat it (and get sick) anyway. Harima decides to make tea but when he comes upstairs Tenma has fallen asleep under the kotatsu.

Harima doesn’t mind because it’s not as if she was helping anyway. He looks at her sleeping and recalls the time when he first met her, it was the same way and because she thought he was a pervert, he had to change his looks just for her. Tenma has bad sleeping habits so at one point she throws the blanket off revealing her leg. That freaks Harima out so he quickly goes to put the covers back over her. Just as he’s about to go back to the table, she wacks his head and his sunglasses fly off. When he goes to grab them, Tenma (still asleep) puts her arms around him, and says “I love you”. (The same way she did the first time they met.) Harima is shocked and lightning strikes (it’s raining outside btw.) We pan back to Yakumo, and that ghost appears again goin “Are you ok with this? You like Harima don’t you?” to which Yakumo is left speechless.

Upcoming Attractions: Harima ends up with Tenma? Preview was a crappy doodle and didn’t say anything so yea I guess we’ll be surprised next week.

I just finished watching the episode, Itoko once again left harima alone XD, well i don’t know if there is going to be a Season 3, but it seems that they are collecting material (meaning for the manga to move on) and give a non-manga related ending, i don’t mind.

that lonely ghost thing reminds me of chobits the city with no people :o

gah, don’t leave tenma cooking.. she almost burned the house down!

yea that story book thing also reminded me of that. I really feel bad for Yakumo, I wanted her to be with Harima but doesn’t look like thats gonna happen :(
Season 3? not sure. I haven’t read any of the non tankoubon chapters, but I saw all of volume 13 and it goes up to like episode 23 or so….and I heard the manga was ending soon so there may not be a season 3 ^^; Rarely there is a season 3 with any animes unless its crap like Pokemon, Sailormoon, One Piece, naruto etc

I would be interesting, if they can give us a good ending… no more manga-related crap. We need to settle the score here… wich one you’ll choice Harima? Tenma, Eri or Yakumo…

    Only “God Knows” that

I really hope he chooses someone as well XD
Even if it doesn’t follow the manga as long as there’s SOME kind of conclusion I’ll be happy. If it ends like season 1 did I’m gonna kill something

Yakumo please. Thank you. It’s a Tenma trap. They wan’t you to THINK he’ll choose Tenma, but really he’ll wise up and choose the BETTER girl. He better choose Yakumo or I’m gonna Hulk-smash my laptop or maybe toss it across the room. Then i’ll go cry.

I heard Jin hunting season starting soon =x,

I don’t think it’s a trap, yet what I want to know more is the drama between eri and yakumo if he chooses, then again I doubt KJ is a drama guy well who knows, throw in some bokura ga ita drama style lol *heck no*

i bet tenma going to reject him, there is no way!, she is so attached to karasuma lol, then again takano and karasuma seem like a freaky pair o_o

I’m actually keeping up with the weekly releases of the manga through Townsocks (currently at ch 193). From what I’ve read past volume 13, it’s just basically a small arc over Valentine’s Day, some filler, and then a major arc over the class trip to Kyoto. For the most part, none of the relationships develop any further, other than everyone’s misunderstanding of Eri and Harima.

Personally, it feels like Kobayashi himself is losing interest with the series as the quality of the art has been decreasing (not surprising since he’s probably focusing on his new manga Natsu no Arashi)) and the plot being so lackluster (come on. British stereotypes in Kyoto??).

I think they might go with an original end and That harima will finally confess but he is going to be turned down. For two reasons, Tenma thinks that Yakumo likes Harima and Tenma is too much in love with Karasumaru.

Manga is likely to either end or go on a long hiatus soon. From the captions at the end of this episode, I get a feeling that next episode may be the last TV episode planned, but they are considering either some OAV or movie to put a grand finale on the whole thing, like Kimagure Orange Road. KOR had to use the moview route for the logical ending, which thankfully got depicted, could only be sad and serious, which was totally opposite of the mood of the entire TV series. When things resolve, there are too many conflicts of interest to not break the hearts of about the third of the characters in SR. Either Eri or Yakumo will end up crying in the end, with some chance that both might end up heartbroken. Yes, all good things must come to an end, thus all romantic comedies has to have that one dark and sad chapter to close the story.

aku: the problem is i can’t imagine either one actually having “romantic” feelings. maybe karasuma but not takano lol

Tim: wow so like this is it then huh?

golthin: I wouldnt be surprised :|
wontaek: I figured so as well since it was called “.” like wtf haha. there might be an ova since they did have one after the first season but we can only hope there will be some kind of ending ,even if someone has to get hurt
