(Frankly, I don't think she *really* wants to go through with it either, IIRC she said "mayottemasu" about going to the off-kai at the end of her forum post.) One thing I'm not sure about is where she appeared to give Sato the off-kai invitation (or something similar), but I'm not sure if it was a real or imagined scene and if real, whether past (i.e. school time) or present. I'm not sure how the manga went, but in the anime I don't think Saito realizes that she wants to kill herself.
