NHK ni Youkoso! - 11
Oh the drama!
Yamazaki and Sato are still working on their game. However I guess they completed part of it because they started printing CD covers and burning the incomplete stuff on the CD. Sato kept thinkin about Misaki but not as much as last time, and he kept having a bitch fest with Yamazaki. Eventually they finished up their progress and put all the disks in a box while Sato lay in his room looking at what he has “created”.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, the senpai is having a bad relationship with her boyfriend. He made a promise to spend the summer with her but gets tied up with work and breaks it. In turn, she takes random drugs and gets high, as well as posting lies on the internet about how her boyfriend is violent and abuses her. Thanks to those who pointed out, I didn’t catch the first time but the forum she was posting at was http://lets-suicide.ddo.jp. She also has a bad time at work (I’m getting Nana vibes) and her jealous coworkers start saying shit about her. She gets lonely to the point that she calls up Sato and asks to drink with him.
And when she said drink she meant at his house. She comes over in her car with a bunch of beer and gets totally wasted. Sato thinks it’s weird as hell to see her be so genki and upbeat but then recalls a time that this happened in high school. She broke up with her boyfriend of 2 years and acted all happy at first but then started crying. This time though, she doesn’t cry, but falls asleep because of all the alcohol she consumed.
While she’s sleeping Sato comes to a decision. A decision to quit being a hikki. The next morning, he’s dressed properly and tells her that when things are going bad, it’s a good idea to get outside and just take a walk or something. He also says if she wants to spend her summer well, he’ll spend it with her. He tells her also that he will follow her wherever she goes, because otherwise he’ll just be laying around his apartment. She thanks him and the two of them get in her car and drive off. Unfortunately, Misaki saw all of this from her house and tried to run after them yelling “Sato-kun!” but she tripped and fell (rather painfully) on the ground and just looked as the car drove further away…
Upcoming Attractions: Sato and the senpai spend their summer together.

lame……….
Satou and the senpai? Nooo!! It just feels so wrong!!
“lame……….”
If you knew what forum she was posting at, what she printed out and where she intends to go to “spend” the summer, you might not be saying that ^_^;;; I guess Hinano didn’t want to spoil too much?
its the most correct relationship i could ever think of in nhk actually…
Uh… well this is different from the group suicide thing that happened in the manga. D:
Gluck & Mark: Perhaps you two are on to something. Sunday is like my big show day so after blogging like 7 things I guess I missed it. I think they did show in kanji where she was posting and I’ll have to probably check again to see if 自殺 was written in there.
I just checked again and a few things clicked here. I’m not sure how the manga went, but in the anime I don’t think Saito realizes that she wants to kill herself. I think he just thinks that she’s sad about the boyfriend break up, but he never looked inside her bag on her suicide plans.
I haven’t read the manga or the novel either so I don’t how about those, but I think you’re right that in the anime he doesn’t realize it. (Frankly, I don’t think she *really* wants to go through with it either, IIRC she said “mayottemasu” about going to the off-kai at the end of her forum post.) One thing I’m not sure about is where she appeared to give Sato the off-kai invitation (or something similar), but I’m not sure if it was a real or imagined scene and if real, whether past (i.e. school time) or present. I kind of spaced out there and wanted to go back later to rewatch, but then I deleted the raw before I could do that :/
In the manga Saito has no clue that they are going to suicide.

I don’t think she ever did thats why I don’t think he has any idea ^^; So yea I guess it follows the manga.
goood gosh, of course satou doesn’t know what’s going on… he thinks that senpai has decided to make a summer getaway, and being a good natured man in the deep of his heart he wants to help her overcome her troubles (and help himself out of hikikomori status). can’t wait to the next episode, as I am afraid for the life of senpai (I quite like her, she may be troubled soul but who is not in these times?). Satou is probably safe as main male lead in the story, and this is not the kind of show to kill off a main character…
no its not I just assume based on previous Gonzo stuff that she’ll try to kill herself and he’ll stop her but then he’ll go home and be a hikki again and Misaki will be there for him
