Bokura ga Ita - 11

Published by Hinano at 10:58 pm under Bokura ga Ita

And the winner of this year’s “worst boyfriend award” goes to Yano! Let’s give him a round of boo’s and maybe wacks on the head with a broom while we’re at it! Seriously this show is pissing me off, it’s starting to turn into another one of those “girl has shitty boyfriend but takes his shit anyway”. I mean Nanami is no different than the dead Nana, who put up with her violent boyfriend’s shit, how Nanami is putting up with Yano’s shit. Yea this is definitely not a show I’m gonna keep to ever rewatch again because it’s just pissing me off and this episode was really the straw that broke the camel’s back.

First that homewrecker Yamamoto shows up and brings up old shit again making it seem as if it’s Yano’s fault for not appologizing to Nana and forgetting her birthday. New fact of the day: Nana died on her birthday. Next, when Nanami tries to stop Yamamoto for bringing up old crap, Yano like shoves her back into the house. When I say shoves, I mean he grabs her hand, violently THROWS her on the floor and shuts the door so she can’t get out and listen…until Yamamoto leaves.

When that homewrecker leaves, Nanami gets out of Yano’s house and starts walking away. When Yano tries to follow her and grab her shoulder, she prominently smacks his face with her school bag. You go girl. :x So Yano’s all like “Wtf” and she starts yelling at him that he’s the one hiding, and it’s not fair that she isn’t allowed to hear anything. She also says that he’s the one betraying her, and he gets all pissed and violent and grabs her hand and squeezes it like really hard to the point that it hurts her. While all of this is going on, Takeuchi was riding by on his bike and saw the whole incident. Yano then bitches at Nanami that he isn’t betraying her and she has no idea what betrayal means and he starts babbling shit about how Nana abandoned him and betrayed him etc.

Later Takeuchi’s at Yano’s house and he’s like “you should tell Nanami the truth” and Yano says he doesn’t wanna. The truth by the way is he fucked Yamamoto. They showed a flashback and it was so lame. She was like “let’s just do it and get it over with”. It’s not like he even forced himself upon her, man she’s such a whore. So anyway…Takeuchi asks Yano if he regrets it? Yano prominently says he doesn’t regret doing anything he’s ever done in his life. So then Takeuchi’s all like “So why don’t you tell her?” and he says he doesn’t wanna see Nanami cry. So the next day in school they’re not talking, and then at the end of the day when the classroom’s empty Yano comes up to Nanami and acts as if nothing happened. He’s all teasing and cheerful saying she forgot her english workbook so he did all her homework for her and even drew her a stupid picture. Nanami says to herself that she just can’t hate him and says she’ll accept who he is no matter what he tells her. He starts to be like okay I’ll name 3 things, and one of them is true. She thinks he’s joking around, until one of the last things he says is “I did it with Yamamoto”. Nanami says “Even for a joke, that’s sick.” He says “yea isn’t it?” Then I guess it hits her that he isn’t joking, and she starts to cry.

So what we can conclude from this episode is…:

  • Yano is a man whore and proud of it.
  • Yano hurt Nanami physically twice this episode, mentally…..I lost count
  • Yamamoto is just pissed that obviously her sex appeal ain’t good enough to get Yano to date her
  • Takeuchi obviously has the hots for Nanami, it’s so waiting to happen

Upcoming Attractions: Nanami is sick and tired of his crap and she’s not gonna take it anymore.

Really? Nanami is going to dump Yano?! Hurray! I hope she will stand up for herself already!!! I loved your summary, that’s exactly how I feel about this ep! LOL! Its annoying to see Nanami let Yano step all over her. Take is smart, he’s so going to steal her away! Thanks for the summary! :)

You’re welcome! I hope he steals her too. Seriously I mean I can put up with some fights between couples etc or the guy made a mistake but then he redeems himself…but Yano like doesn’t redeem himself. He just makes a mistake, shrugs it off…rinse, lather and repeat.

    You mean 2nd worst boyfriend.

Also, you should’ve used a Kanon picture instead of a Love Drops one for your avatar.

    So basically, it’s

“How many bullets do you want to put throgh Yano’s head? One, two, three, or the WHOLE FUCKING CLIP/MAGAZINE?”

Oi, what an asshole. You know, I liked this anime for varying qualities, and I admit I still do like it – an unhealthy obsession for it, even. Still, there are some aspects (Yano) that’s just beyond a little bit disturbing. I mean, everyone (except possibly Takeuchi) is suffering from some sort of emotional trauma and consistently says/does things to get hurt again. Secretly, they’re all masochists.

Yano is a manipulative bastard, that’s all I can say. I think it’s been foreshadowed since the very beginning, what with his past and his ability to mask everything he does/says with lies. Nevertheless, he’s going to have to earn some major redemption points. And if Nanami takes him back just because he apologizes and smiles at her like the sun, I’m going to kick her. Or something.

And it’s funny because after watching episode 10, I had envisioned what would happen in the future episodes (mostly out of fun), and one of them was Nanami breaking up with Yano and Takeuchi coming to her rescue. And then there would be a whole load of conflicts before Yano discovers the error of his ways and beg the living hell for her forgiveness.

As for Yamamoto? Oh! Don’t even get me started. I mean, I really feel sorry for her, but she bugs me in that she’s ruining everything and has the worst timing. Ever. I think it’s her unrequited (?) love that earns her my sympathy, but I have a feeling she’s just as evil – maybe even catty underneath it all. It’s always the quiet ones, after all.

Ack, sorry for the horrendously long comment. I found this site somehow through a series of links, and I nearly squealed my own damned ears off because you reviewed #11 - and I like this series. Except for the physical/mental abuse aspects of it. Those are a bit disturbing.

    Eek. Okay, I stop now!

26 ep. but I don’t think we will see the whole manga in this anime

T_T~ Nana’s birthday (dead Nana) is the same as mine. July 29th~

Ashley: hey comments are cool but seriously if she takes Yano back I’m like quitting blogging this show. I wanna see an anime where the girl beats the shit outta the guy and tells him to take a hike and then gets with the nicer guy. Usually I cheer for the main guy x gal, but in this case I’ll have to make an exception.

    Dragos: lol sucks for you!!

How about a staff of destruction for good measure?

I prefer to blow his head up.

I say we castrate him! Off with his (other) head!!

For cripes sake… it was bad enough when Yano was behaving like an unbelievably manipulative, hypocritical, controlling jerk all this time and Nana still put up with it. But really, in this ep, the true colors were shown.
I swear if I ever had a bf like that, he’d never see the light of day again.

It would serve him right if she did find comfort in Take for a while (I’d like to see YANO cry for once!!) then he’d suffer and see the error of his ways. He needs to grow up, stop living in the past and start trusting Nana.

And on a sidenote, Yamamoto really is a whore, btw.

I think that ends my rant. Good job on the review!
