A preview of upcoming attractions…
Otherwise known as “I’m jumping on the fall anime preview bandwagon”. I’m not gonna sit here listing every series and giving it a review because as mentioned before the summer season I give everything the “2 episode chance”. If I can get past episode 1, I’ll watch episode 2. If I can get past episode 2, I’ll blog the series. (This is why Chocotto Sister isn’t on here…it passed episode 1, but bombed episode 2.)
The only thing I will start with on episode 1, because I am guaranteed to watch it is:
Negima!? - I just started reading the manga and I’m feeling Love Hina nostalgia, as well as having the mad urge to listen to “Happy Material” on repeat. 新しいかがやきハッピーレーディゴー！～♪ So yea that’s a definite watch for me. I’m also looking forward to that ova HARU or whatnot but that seems to be separate from this series. Does anyone know if this follows the manga? Or if it starts from where the first series left off? I’ve only read volume 1 so I don’t know.
Kanon - As stated in my previous post…I’ll prolly be rabidly frothing and posting screencaps from the game and the 2002 show

And here’s a big collage of shows I’m interested in, but no guarantees until they all pass the 2 episode test!
Make note that stuff with a red X means that there’s a really high chance it will fail the 2 episode test and I will not be blogging it. With that, let’s all enjoy the rest of September as most series come to a close and get our hard drives ready for October!

Oh I forgot to answer that question you had.
The Haru OVA is actually based on volume 7 of the manga. The new “Negima!?” TV series coming out in October however will have an entirely new storyline different from the manga — hence the ? mark at the end of the title.
megane: I never bothered watching Shuffle althugh I did see the 1 episode where that blonde girl went crazy and started beating the crap outta the green haired one
pkjd: Which one’s Sayuri again? XD From Tokimeki? Lol I dunno who anyone is, I’ll be lucky if I even remember half of anyone’s names through all these shows. Thanks for the clearup regarding Negima although it makes me a bit sad to hear that it’s not a continuation of the first series (which I didn’t think was that bad since I haven’t read the manga prior to watching it)

I heard Reborn is one of those endless shonen jump series like Naruto so I’m hoping it won’t be another long running series.
Yea whatever’s not on there, is just stuff I didn’t have any interest in (like Pumpkin Scissors or Red..something). That collage doesn’t represent ALL the series airing, just the ones that I’ll actually “give a chance” i guess ^^;

death note gets the red cross but not busou renkin?? how come?? death note is awesome!
I object against the “x” for Death Note. I just started reading the manga, and it lives up to its reviews. It is a great series.
I agree with Lydia. Death note is one of the better mangas that i’ve read. It should survive the 2 episode test…hopefully.

wonkey, Lydia, Yyi: theres a pattern with those types of manga that the manga is really good but hten the anime is totally butchered up hence why my X’s
I never read the manga so I’m speaking purely from just looking @ the image and seeing random yaoi fanarts (anothe - for me) on deviantart

I didn’t watch it but it didn’t really seem like my type of anime based on someone else’s blog. The only 2 vampire shows I ever liked were ones that were mostly comedic like Karin and Master of Mosquiton
Um, I agree with jpmeyer. And yes, it could make ALL the difference in the world. Although, hmm it still wouldn’t change my answer which was that i’d download it. with pr0n it’d just be more likely…*innocent*
Black Blood Brothers seems similar to Blood+(which isn’t bad) but it probably doesn’t have a strong love story so…
I never really liked Negima. The material seemed a little juvenial to me but maybe that’s it’s appeal?
