It must be the “kiss scene” week of dramas or something Asami is getting owned by Kudou, because she’s sitting around and not writing jack. He finds out that she’s left the house and gets angry. He then forces her to stay inside the house until she writes some music. She is currently though waiting for Kouji to call her….and Kouji is in the meantime wandering around god knows where without anyone knowing his whereabouts.

The band is getting restless because they feel it’s pointless to practice without Kouji, their guitarist. The bald owner dude tells them that they’re relying too much on Kouji and Kaoru and that they need to practice together for “the team”. Kouji is still wandering around and Kaoru is looking for him. She even goes as far as making flyers with his mug and gives them out during the day wearing her pink sun suit thing. He almost walks away and leaves her, but then he changes his mind and brings her into the shade. He asks her why she’s doing this, and she said she just wanted to tell him a message that the band is waiting for him to come back. She gives him some riceballs she made and leaves.

Kouji calls up Asami and tells her that he is agreeing to run away with her. She starts packing her shit but then later on Kouji is seen having second thoughts and thinking about Kaoru. Eventually it’s the night of the concert and Kouji still hasn’t come back. The band though, has practice fine without him but it does sound kinda odd when there’s no guitar. Kaoru jokingly says she’ll play it with her unmoveable fingers. Kouji runs to meet Asami, but on the spot he tells her that he cannot bring back the past. He wants to go into the future, and he says Asami should do the same. He also says there is no way she “hates music” because she is the fun who taught him the joy of music.

Kouji leaves a crying Asami and runs off to the battle of the bands. Just when it’s Moon Child’s turn, the 3 guys go up on stage and Kaoru is left wondering whether or not to take the guitar. She decides not to take it, and just as she puts it down she sees a hand grab it from her. That hand is Kouji’s and he’s come back panting and huffing. Kaoru is shocked, but then she gives him a short kiss and says “You’re late”. The band performance is a success and everyone cheers on. Little did they know, they were being watched by Kudou-san the music producer.
