School Rumble II - 20

I’m in a school rumbly mood today as I am progressing through the manga (finished up volume 2 today.) Be careful there, she'll break your neck This week’s “1 hour special” is another word for “We’re gonna air episodes 20 and 21 back to back for no apparent reason.” I personally liked this episode more than the next one but I burst out laughing at least once in both of them so it’s all good. This doesn’t look like any story related material but was still a fun passage of time. At the beginning is just Ichijou and Imadori playing power rangers with Ichijou’s younger brother. She also has a dream at the beginning that he kisses her and stuff.

Rejected. The next half of the episode seems to focus on couples? Actually I think this episode just focuses on couples indirectly. In this episode the camera guy and some meganekko that I don’t know are looking up at the stars. Ichijou and Mai were there too but they left to get coffee and leave the 2 “alone”. Unfortunately for camera boy, the girl I think had a crush on some other guy (?) and she’s upset because she saw him with Mikoto. (I THINK that guy is Hanai, but I couldn’t tell because he didn’t have glasses on.)

A not so funny joke. Next we’re back to some kind of robo/gatekeepers parody? It starts out with everyone working at the police station and the new “chief” is Karasuma. Tenma apparently “lost her memory” but her “oneechan Yakumo” found her and took her in. They all play a prank by hitting on Karasuma and upsetting her but then they appologize and say it’s just a joke. The best part is during the joke thing, Eri saw Harima looking her directions (even though he was looking at Tenma) and Harima was like “I’M NOT LOOKING AT YOU!!” and gave the finger (which was mosaiiced out :lol: this is where I burst out laughing).

Back to the lab you go! Oh yea in this “parody” Tenma apparently was a robot human who escaped from Hanai’s lab and he wants her back so he sends a bunch of robotic bees at the “police station” which turns into some cheesy mecha thing where all the girls wear these weird skin tight suits and there’s random fanservice shots. (You know I love how in school rumble, they make their fanservice REALLY OBVIOUS. Like they make it to seem like “LOOK FANSERVICE!” they’re not trying to be discreet about it at all. :lol:) Anyway after Tenma hears the story about her escaping from the lab her memory comes back and she gets angry and we see inside her robotic body is her heart that says “Otome”.

    That girl is Yuuki and she has a crush on Hanai. There were some scenes of them in the past. Of course what she doesn’t know is that Hanai and Mikoto are platonic friends and the latter is already happily attached to Asou. So much for glasses being intelligence.

    I thought the first 15mins of ep 20 was pretty sweet. Karen scores a lot of points!

    I personally think she looks way better with hair hair totally down, then when she has it parted with the stupid “mini braid”. XD

    Ah they didn’t really focus on Yuuki too much which is why I guess I had no idea what her name was. I noticed that while the manga has its silly points, its somewhat follows consistently..while the anime had so many irrelevant eps that I started to forget wtf the story was about

    Okay so there are Yuki X Hanai Faction… and also Yuki X Fuyuki Faction and at last Hanai X Yakumo Faction, which one you join up?

    I for one root for Yuuki X Fuyuki. Maybe it’s the fact that both are the only two students in the class to wear glasses, but for some reason those two seem to have potential. Fuyuki appears to be a down to earth kinda guy and Yuuki needs a man who isn’t crazy over a girl who doesn’t want him. But that’s just me.

    Am I the only one who doesn’t feel all that supportive of Ichijou X Imadori? I think she just has a crush on him because he was the first one to “ask her out”. Imoadori in my opinion is just too much of a playboy and will eventually hurt Ichijou.

    I kinda agree with the Imadori thing but maybe he’ll change? XD They seem so cute together for some reason.

    Yuuki x Fuyuki would be nice but they seem like such minor characters in the anime that I don’t think the animation team is gonna develop it any further.

    I’m currently on volume 4 of the manga. I’m up to the part where they’re all camping and Harima just had a little forest chat with Yakumo
